This was bound to be fun. The Wooper and Sentret were cute after a fashion, and she could certainly appreciate the mischievousness Murkrows could get into, but for now, all she had eyes for was the adorable little Duskull. She did not want to startle all the pokemon in the area, so she began to move forward as stealthily as she could, fantasies of playing with the Duskull playing in her mind the whole way.

General Roleplays / Re: Pok?mon Wishlist: Rotom

Myra was more than excited. Rotoms! And there were two of them! Something about their little grins as they fluttered about made the ridiculously adorable. She just had to add them to her team. The two were together, so they were obviously friends. And it would just be mean of her to break them up. So she would just have to capture them both.

"Hey there," she calls out to the two Rotoms, trying to appear as non-threatening as possible.

"This aught to be fun!" Myra exclaims, for once dressed in more practical attire for this particular outing. "Plenty of things die in the marshlands. There's got to be a bunch of ghosts there." And with barely contained glee at the thought of encountering the dearly departed, Myra makes a beeline for the marshes.

"Oh, sounds like we got someone who might actually know what they are doing on the Imperial side." He laughs as if the thought of that is funny for some reason. "So, since you are so great Impy, why don't you come on out and face me, instead of hiding behind your drones!" As he says that, he charges the nearest drone, throwing a punch at it.

Entering Xan Academy / Re: First Quiz
December 26, 2014, 11:50:40 AM
Myra was aghast at the contents of the quiz that they received right there at the start. She noticed a couple of other students having no real difficulties with the test, which worried her a bit. Did she forget this stuff over the break? She went through the questions again and still had no idea. What would she do?!

Myra shook her head. It was the first test after all. Even if she did poorly, there would be plenty of time to make up for it in the future. With that in mind, she went over the questions, starting with a couple essay questions, while trying to ignore the rude guy that was talking during the quiz.

Focus: This dice roll has been tampered with!
Rolled 3d6+3 : 1, 3, 2 + 3, total 9

After that, the next two sections were all multiple choice. And those were easy to do. There was a surefire way of completing those style of questions. Closing her eyes, she hovered her pencil over the first multiple choice question, then dropped it down. Opening her eyes, she fills in the bubble that the pencil landed on. B. C. A. A. D. C. B. B. B. A...

Intuition 2: [blockquote]Rolled 3d6+3 : 6, 1, 5 + 3, total 15[/blockquote]

Now the last section, Pokemon Knowledge. Well, if it wasn't a ghost type, then she wasn't very knowledgeable about them, but let's see how many she can finagle a ghost relation out of. With that, she set out to finagle the quiz.

Ion advance Pugilist forward, keeping pace with the Battle Dragon. The enemy commander was defeated, thus he, or she, was no longer of particular interest. Especially since the Lieutenant and Pretty Boy seemed to be staying behind with the captured Core.

"Given what we faced so far, what do you expect for the last guy still waiting for us?" he asks Hyacinth over the comm.

Trainers / Myra Colwern
December 19, 2014, 08:49:39 PM
Name: Myra Colwern

Starting Pok?mon: Golett
Class: Hex Maniac (Type Ace [Ghost], Medium. Might go for Apparition later)
Physical description: Myra is a short and slight, olive skinned young woman. Despite dressing in dark (and fancy) clothes, there is a perpetual smile on her face, framed by her shoulder length black hair.
Mental description: Myra, often to the surprise of many, is rather intelligent and deep thinker. Her studies focus on the Occult, but she is intelligent enough to work her way through other subjects.
Hobbies and Skills: The Occult. She thoroughly enjoys anything creepy and spooky, and is well versed on the topics related to such.
Short biography/background: Myra is the daughter of a family who specialize in preparing the dead for burial and maintaining their graves afterwords. Exposed to death from practically birth, Myra has held more than a healthy curiosity for it, and began studying the occult after claiming to see and talk with the ghosts that haunt the cemetery (legit ghosts even, not just ghost types) however, no one believed her. She spent several years studying the occult and black magic, and while 90% of the latter was Grade A bullshit, she did find some legitimate occult tomes detailing magical rituals. Of it all, by the present point, she has only mastered two of these rituals.
Personality: Myra is very happy and friendly, which seems to run counter to her interests and hobbies. She is almost always smiling, and when in stressful situations, is often the first to recover. She'll happily talk to anyone, especially those who she'll think that her ghost pokemon are adorable (and in her eyes, they all are).

So a major WiP so far. Will be updated periodically.

Ion laughs a laugh full of bloodlust and malice as he charges the enemy front line, stopping just in front of the nearest still active enemy Core. "Your time is up! The Demon of Ruel has come for your life! Pray that your death is quick!" While his MFL days are over, old habits die hard and without noticing at all, Ion slips back into his arena side persona.

He throws a right hook at the Core, then at the last second opens Pugilist's hand and grabs at the Core, sending a shock of electricity through the enemy mech. Pushing the mech back, he aims to slam Pugilist's palm in a second time, sending another shock through the Core.

[spoiler=Damage]For each attack that hits, the pilot must roll 1d10+Body Type-8. If the result is 0 though 10, the pilot is stunned, losing his next turn, plus an additional turn for every 3 points he failed by. If the result is below zero, then the shock was too great for the pilot to handle. The pilot rolls an unmodified 1d10, if the result is less than the pilot's stun/shock value, he falls unconscious. If it is greater, he dies instantly instead. Naturally, if both attacks hit, the pilot must do this twice, unless the first attack kills him.[/spoiler]

Ion shakes his head, "Well, the way it seems to me is, we can either have fun with it, or be tactical about this," the man's grin is almost audible over the comms. "My choice should be obvious."

Now next to the unconscious Katrias, Katia pulls out a healing potion, readying to administer it to the fallen mage. However, she encountered an unexpected problem. Katrias's mouth was closed. She thought for a few seconds, trying to figure out to give her the potion without touching her. She came upon a solution a moment later. Popping the cork off the glass vial, she places the cork on Katrias's chin, and applying force, opens the mage's mouth. She pours the potion into her mouth, when she encounters another problem. The unconscious mage was not swallowing the bluish-green liquid. This time there would be no easy fix. Applying all her willpower to the task at hand, she gently massages Katrias's throat, forcing her to swallow the liquid, all the while just barely enduring the terrible, not quite painful agony of touching another. If forced to describe it, she would equate the sensation to hearing nails being scraped across a chalkboard, except it was a physical sensation, rather than an aural one.

Ion pushes the Pugilist forward, largely ignoring the sandstorm. "Drinks on the boss then. I like the sound of that," he says over the communicator as his mech falls in line, and a little ahead of Zephyr's mech.

Things were not going well at all. Katrias was down, and Ollete is being savaged by wolves. They needed to turn the tide fast. Katrias may be their best bet for that, as her own magic was not as suited to taking out multiple foes. Resolving to aid her teammate, she starts when Wolfrin suddenly appears before her, swinging his swords. Luckily her shadow was quicker on the uptake and it rose up casually slapping Wolfrin's swords away, before making a motion curiously similar to snickering. Just as suddenly as it rose up to defend Katia, the shadow stretches and passes harmlessly through the ant wall, landing near Katrias. As soon as her shadow lands, Katia appears to melt into her shadow, traveling along it's path and reappearing next to Katrias.

Ion walks The Pugilist out of the transport ship, letting out a low whistle at the sight of the sandstorm blowing across his view screens. "Well, this should make things interesting," he comments, while keeping an eye on his sensors.
