A Forgotten Thought
by Ella Hoshi

I just forgot the thought that was in my head.
It was a good thought, one that I should have written down to be read.

I just forgot the thought that I love so much.
It was a good thought, one that you would have liked to hear around lunch.

But I forgot it, and cannot remember what it was.
If I could, I would tell you, but I just can?t?

I just remembered it! I know I did!
It?it is?uh?oh, no! I just forgot.

Note on A Forgotten Thought: I based this poem off of a poem I heard one of my classmates in 5th grade read off in one of our class plays. I can't remember what his poem was called, though.

Blah, Blah, Blah
by Ella Hoshi

Blah, blah, blah,
I heard you,
So why don?t you just leave me alone,
Blah, blah, blah,
I don?t want to hear it,
So why don?t you just shut up,
Blah, blah, blah,
I have a headache,
You talk too much,
Blah, blah, blah,
That?s all I hear,
So be quiet and let me rest,
Or stay and get screamed at!

Note on Blah, Blah, Blah: Pretty sure this poem was also written while I was in 5th or 6th grade.

Born To?
by Ella Hoshi

Do what you where born to do.
Be what you where born to be.
Live the way you where born to live.

Earth?s Waterfalls
by Ella Hoshi

Standing here watching as water falls
Watching the beautiful scene upon this Earth
Every one of them is one of a kind
Why do we find falling water so beautiful?
Usually found on untouched land
Not a building to be seen
Unless they are manmade
Which is not as interesting
As the real thing
What are they?
They are the wonderful waterfalls that fascinate mankind.

Note on Earth's Waterfalls: This poem was written for an Earth Day poetry contest and entered in a county fair. I got some kind of ribbon at the fair with it, but I think it was just their generic "thanks for entering" one.

Quote
Happy Birthday!
by Ella Hoshi

Blow out the candles?
Make a wish.
Now put some cake?
On your dish!
Happy Birthday!

Note on Happy Birthday!: Made for a birthday card. Feel free to use in your own birthday cards if you want.

Horse
by Ella Hoshi

Although they are fun to ride,
Horses have their own pride.

You might want a horse that?s nice,
Instead of one with a heart made of ice.

I look out my window every day,
To see my horse hiding away.

I love my horse night and day.

Note on Horse: Pretty sure this poem was also written while I was in 5th or 6th grade.

Horses
by Ella Hoshi

Horses,
Horses,
Horses,
Mustang horses,
Thoroughbred horses,
Beautiful, gorgeous, loveable horses,
Cute, fury, baby horses,
Appaloosa horses,
Cleveland bay horses,
Funny, skinny, racing horses,
Dapple gray horses, too.
Paint horses,
Arabian horses,
Don?t forget Clydesdale horses,
Last of all, best of all I like Shire horses.

Note on Horses: Another poem written for my 5th grade class. I think we had to make a poster for it, but the poster got lost.

Quote
Humans
by Ella Hoshi

Humans, I hate them!
Mankind is a dieing race.
I am no longer considered as one of them.
They depend on technology and not themselves.
They are killing Earth with their garbage.
The rich waste what the poor could use.
What wasteful, disgusting creatures they are.
I am not among them.

Life is NOT a Game
by Ella Hoshi

Life is not some thing to throw away,
It?s not something you can save, then restart,
It?s not something you can just waste on drugs.

Life is something to use to make a difference,
It?s something to use to help others,
It?s something to use to be happy for.

Life is something to keep in memory,
Not something to use to kill for fun,
Not something to control your friends.

Life is not like a game,
It is not a game,
It will never be a game,
So, don?t waste it!

Something like this happens once in a lifetime, your lifetime, so use it wisely.

Note on Life is NOT a Game: Pretty sure this poem was also written while I was in 5th or 6th grade.

Majesty
by Ella Hoshi

As a princess
She comes?
Yet an empress
She becomes?

Quote
Out of My Mind
by Ella Hoshi

I?m going out of my mind!
I?m bored,
I?m tired of my brother bugging me,
My mom won?t leave me alone,
I?ve got tons of homework,
I?m tired,
I can?t stand the quietness of my life,
So, I?m going to turn my music on full blast, lock my door, and relax,
I?ll worry about everything else when it?s already to late to do anything about it.

Note on Out of My Mind: Pretty sure this poem was also written while I was in 5th or 6th grade.

The Real Thing
by Ella Hoshi

Life isn?t a Dream you can wake up from
It is the real thing

Life isn?t a Video Game you can restart if you mess up or die
It is the real thing

Life is something you should Value most of all
It is a gift to you from God

Life is something you should use to Help others
It is a gift to you from God

Life is something you should have fun with in a safe way
It is a gift to you from God

Life isn?t a Dream you can wake up from
It is the real thing

Life isn?t a Video Game you can restart if you mess up or die
It is the real thing

Note on The Real Thing: Pretty sure this poem was also written while I was in 5th or 6th grade.

The Seasons (Unifinished Poem)
by Ella Hoshi

Spring has come and gone
The summer season slowly calms down
The season of fall will soon kick in
Winter will come and so will the snow

Spring is the time when clovers will grow
When friends can see the flowers of joy
When the trees will bud leaves
And when birds start to sing once again

Summer?s heat will not last long
When friends are having fun

Note on The Seasons: I had gotten inspiration for the poem, made it halfway, and lost inspiration. Never really went back to finish it, so it gets to be an unfinished poem for now.

Freedom
by Ella Hoshi

Freedom
Precious, Treasured
Soaring, Smiling, Speaking
Freedom is having no restraints.
Liberty

Note on Freedom: Written either for a poetry contest or a school assignment. I can't remember which. If it was for a contest, I didn't win. XD

Fantasy
by Ella Hoshi

I live in a world of fantasy
With fantastic creatures galore
I am often told to return to reality
But reality is such a bore
I would rather live a fantasy
In a place where my dreams can soar
I would rather be where I am happy
In a place that I adore
