The war has been raging for 57 years and is halted at a bloody stalemate. The war is becoming ever so harder with the dangers of the Time Wound growing greater and interfering with the war. The war started 100 years after the mortals were made so it could give them time to build their forces and might. As the deadline loomed many on both sides grew panicked and feared the worst. Both empires gathered at the border where they prepared for the first major battle of the war. The 5 Year Battle. The name says it all. It lasted just over 5 years in length and was truly a bloody stalemate. Neither side has gained land since. Several years into the 5 Year Battle people on bot sides grew weary. A rare few people set aside the wish of the Gods and joined up with the Orcs to seek refuge in the mountains away from the war. They became known as the Order of the Paradox; a union of Elves, Men, and Orcs alike. The game "The Rift" will take place in the year 157 in the Order of Paradox compound.
