Eric to move

Nyuko Nyun

The darkness slowly came into light as the arena shifted and became tiled and smooth. The sight was marvelous to behold, but it was the flickers of electricity that caught Nyuko's attention the most. It gave the tiles a shining glow, and being a catfolk, simply made him all too curious about what the floor was made out of. He loved any shiny objects, and the glow of electricity gave the floor a surreal brilliance that Nyuko found it hard to take his eyes off of.

But the moment he realized his companions had started moving, Nyuko too was shaken from his reverie. They had begun to take action. So would he. The lightning sparked back and forth along the center of the arena, but that didn't stop him. Nyuko sprinted as he loosened his arms, extending the claw-blades he had on either of his forearms. Just like lightning Nyuko sped right into the barrier, his blades acting as conductors as they held in the electric's charge if only for a mere moment. Lightning against lightning, Nyuko used his blades to redirect the electricity, travelling through its blade as he spun in a complete circle. Like a whirling top, Nyuko avoided the lightning strikes as the wisps of electricity instead showered around him in a dazzling show of lightning coupled with his finesse.

Yet, the catfolk never slowed.

Keeping up his momentum he cleared the barrier making his way towards his intended target. She had cast some sort of spell, making multiple clones of her, four to be exact. But as Nyuko made his last jump, positioning both blades and using the weight of both his speed and body, he scored a direct hit.

Eric Whittock

"What's that, Mr. Egg?" Eric put the totally ordinary chicken egg up to his ear as if listening to its words. "I don't think I can do that right now! I'm kind of in the middle of a thing." He looked ahead at the enemy team just in time to see some freakish catfolk thing to come flying through the big lightning wall in the middle of arena. The gnome only watched, somewhat flabbergasted, as his teammate became the first victim in what could turn out to be a long chain of serial misfortune. He would not stand for this! The egg would not stand for this!

It was then that he knew what had to be done. He took a deep breath, swallowed, and held the egg out to his side. "The time has come, Jesting Jesters! Mr. Egg has spoken! The power of Cthulhu compels you!"

He put his hands together as if praying, careful not to cause his egg any harm, as he concentrated on the very heart of his being. Within moments, he began to feel a connection. And just as quickly, it began to feel to him as if the entire room had melted away. He was all that existed in the world then. That was how he would ensure nothing could go wrong. In his mind, he was in another plane, staring at the nothingness around him that stretched forever in every direction. This was the telltale indication that he had successfully cleared his mind. Knowing this, there would be no trouble in making his next move. At the firing of a neuron in his brain, suddenly the entire plane had changed. The floor beneath him suddenly matched what he was standing on in the arena, but there was more. It was his next move. And he could see it happening before he even used it. It was beautiful. And it was sure to be just the thing to use to make sure everything from this point forward happened in favor of these Two and a Half Casters.

In real-time, it was merely a second after he put his hands together that he finally began to move. The world around him returned to normal, both his team and the enemy team returning to exactly where he remembered them to be. He opened his eyes, bore a dramatic look in his face, and leaned forward as if attempting to whisper across the battlefield so everyone could hear.

"I hope you brought a snorkel." He was sure to keep his statement short and clear to help prevent confusion and ensure a swift action. Without any further hesitation, he darted off toward the center of the field, screeching to a halt not far from the showdown between Nyuko and Ardeth. There, he straightened up, twisted one his legs slightly inward, and let 'er rip. A mighty vibration echoed throughout the caverns, bouncing like a ripple in a pond off of the walls of the arena. Power unlike any he had expelled before was now filling the area at an alarmingly quick rate. In mere seconds, its sheer immensity had spread over twenty feet from him in every direction. He knew then that he had suddenly gained the upper hand. Nobody would dare challenge him under these conditions. He wouldn't be surprised if they just laid down their weapons there and surrendered the tournament to him.

"Oh yeah!" The gnome let out a satisfied sigh. A devious smile spread across his face as he eyed the rest of the enemy team. That would surely show him exactly how tough he was. The oughta be shaking in their boots now!

Uthaal watched as his nutty companion ranted and ran straight past the enemy to cast his spell. This was rather upsetting, as Uthaal had just been about to cast his own spell to cover the entire area. Well, that wasn't the most unsettling part. "...Is that a cloud of...flatulence?" Though the obscuring cloud was appreciated, the druid was not exactly approving of its deliverance. "Why? Why was THIS the replacement?" The druid groaned. Lack of teamwork, obvious insanity, and now...fart-casting. Still, it was at least somewhat helpful, as it would force the ranger to need to reposition, and the druid would be sure to make such movement as difficult as possible. Luckily, the gnome had not moved too far forward, and Uthaal could still cast his spell without the crazed wizard getting snared in the effects. Din'carak knew to remain at the druid's side for this part of the battle, just in case the impairment spells did not succeed.

Uthaal raised his hands, summoning forth the plant-life from beneath the earth and instilling life into it. "Entangle them!" The druid roared and vines and undergrowth sprouted from the earth beneath Ollete, cascading outward 40 feet in all directions, even scaling up the wall behind the jester.

"Another blast of entangle that druid is known for!"

"This time around the opposing team aren't quite in a bad position as before though. Two of them already crossed that lightning barrier, and as luck would have the lightning looks like it's headed straight for the druid."
