"IT'S NOT LIKE I CARE ABOUT THAT OR ANYTHING!" Tiffany almost shouted, her face a bit flustered after being put on the spot.

Filiane continued the explanation.

"I suppose it depends on how good you become on either."

Day 9 - An hour or so later

Soon enough your group was ready.

[info]State any items you might be bringing with you. Anything mundane is fine. Be sure to update your Items sheet with it. If you're bringing rations, state how many as well. List out the party members you're taking too.

Once ready, roll your stealth and perception. State if you are doing half-movement, or full-movements too. Full movement will suffer a -5 penalty, but you can cover each section in a single check. Half-movements will require two sets of checks.[/info]

2) State half-movement or full-movement.
3) The guide of the group rolls Survival or Knowledge (dungeoneering) to determine success. If failed 5 or less of the DC, they make no progress and stay in current area. If failed 6 or more, they make no progress, and the next check takes a -2 circumstance penalty. The penalties are cumulative, and reset once a success is made. Failures have a chance of randomly going a different direction.
4) The cartographer of the group rolls Knowledge (geography) or Profession (cartographer) or Craft (cartography). A success allows a +1 circumstance bonus to the guide's Survival or Knowledge (dungeoneering) check for that specific section. A well-crafted masterwork map will allow a +2 circumstance bonus.
5) Roll a Stealth and Perception check each hour.
6) You can head back to a specific area by beating the DC for that area. Gain a +2 circumstance bonus if you've been to the area before.

"We've fought something like this before, and succeeded with half the number of people. Let's try to clear it out so we don't re-encounter it when coming back. We should be alright doing so." Fred determined and announced to the group.

"I have no idea if it's the same as the ones from before. But the only type that had given us trouble before was not 'shimmering'. I'm sure you all have been itching to test out your skills from the past days of training." Fred states with a barely-contained excitement apparent in his facial expression.

Filiane, who had been preparing for this very moment, soon approached the flower, knelt, and began to extract it carefully.

"I don't want to damage it." Filiane said. "Give me some time."
