The gathering of crowds especially at the village center was busy and bustling. Not only were there many merchants, passerbys, and villages there, a cluster of crows kawing loudly at people passing for food, a huge ring was being set up, along with viewing stands and bleachers around it. This was going to be a boxing tournament, one that had been in the planning stages just the weeks before, and with the help of the carpenters of the village, managed to make everything required on time.

"That's right folks! We're currently getting sign ups for the tournament... So if you're interested to do some pummeling yourself, come sign up on this sheet! Along with the waiver form... But in 30 minutes we'll open it to the betting pool! Are you all excited? ...!"

There was a roar of cheers from the crowd.

[info]You can choose to participate in the tournament, just post here in OOC or IC that you are doing so. If IC, go up and sign your name. If you choose to participate, you will gain CR 1/2 for simply joining. 200,000 vals for 1st place. 100,000 vals for 2nd place. 50,000 vals for 3rd place.

Or you can choose to bet on the winner. You can place as many bets as you want into the betting pool, for whichever character(s) you want to bet on. If you want to bet, individuals will need to pay 1,000 vals and bet on a particular fighter. If that fighter loses, they lose out on the 1,000 vals. However, if that fighter wins the tournament, then the pool is split evenly between all entries who bet on that fighter (so if you have two entries, and there are only 3 entries altogether for that winner, then you will earn 2/3 of the accumulated vals). With potentially 400+ people attending, the potential payoff can be huge![/info]
