Thalia Village
Day 2 - During the Planning Meeting

"I definitely want them giant wild hogs!" The prum, Jobin had said during the meeting.

"Aren't you completely forgetting the fact that hogs are food?" An Amazoness of the Kanade clan by the name of Kuyomi Kanade asked.

"Not the hogs! Ya' can take care o' the boars though... But the more docile hogs? I want 'em!"

"Boar hunting... Sounds fun, too bad I'm already busy as is preparing for the Kanade clan's showing." Next the Amazoness stood up, yelling towards the crowd that had gathered. "Hey all of you! Anyone willing to hunt boars?"

[spoiler=OODM]Requires at least 4 characters.

Before the digging starts, Elidia surveys the area, looking for tracks and common pathways to ensure that the crew is digging the pit in a good location. "We don't want to dig this in the wrong spot, let's make sure we've got a good location."

After work starts, Elidia helps prepare the pit trap, mostly focusing on carving spikes from assorted branches.

Day 5

Sieg takes some time to go around the pit trap and made sure that everything was properly set including things like bait to make sure that the wild pigs actually come over to the trap in the first place. Throwing a bit of mud over the top to cover the scent of humanoid creatures he then placed some food in a pile where he thought the trap was weakest to make sure that the pigs may fall in.

"I'm sorry big guys I hope you like your last meal I'll make sure that we all give you a proper send-off later."

[info]Elidia's Survival (to find a good place to dig)
You managed to find some ground that was relatively soft, which would hopefully make the pitfall making easier on everyone. It wasn't too far from where the boar was spotted either, so all it would take is someone to anger it, then lead it back here.

Sieg's Knowledge (nature) (what boars eat)
Boars are omnivores, however, from what was described back during the festival planning meeting, this particular boar was large, and was more like horse-sized, rather than a normal boar. As such, you can assume that it leaned towards more of a carnivorous diet simply because at that size, it'd be more efficient in getting larger quantities of food, than the small amounts gained from tubers and berries.[/info]

[info]Sieg will be using a bit of leftover warmed animal fat and blood in the mud to cover the trap to attract this boar into the area as a part of that trap roll based off my knowledge. [/info]

Rei's Pitfall Trap
Day 2

"A trap is as sound as any plan... But, I don't think I'm actually cut out for digging holes." She paused as she smiled slyly. "At Least not these kinds of holes."

Naomi wasn't the strongest or most dextrous of the bunch, so she doubted how much actual help she would be for this trap-making which was generally all physical work. Most Renard weren't that strong either, but Naomi was less so, spending most of her time reading and researching rather than doing physical work. But even if she wasn't the strongest, Naomi knew that Rei needed help for this though. The festival preparations had everyone in town busy doing their own preparations, and as such, traffic at the Troupe's Choice wasn't nearly as heavy. Even the owner of the tavern and inn combo was here after all, helping dig this particular pitfall trap. So that left Rei without a lot of options. Rei was from the Far-East as well as her, so Naomi offered to help.

When Elidia found a spot in the forest to start digging the hole, Naomi took the proffered shovel, stared quietly at it, then the ground, then finally back towards the rest of her companions.

"We need help." Naomi said flatly. "I would get a certain meat-head friend of mine to help, but he left this morning." Naomi sighed as she turned around, waved her hand in a dismissive motion.

"I'll be back~ ♥"

Rei's Pitfall Trap
Day 5 - Evening

It took nearly four full days of hard work, but soon enough the trap was built. It was 20 feet deep, covering a square area of 10 feet by 10 feet. Arrayed on the bottom were a variety of sharp dagger-like branches, wood, and other long and sharp things. Soon enough, Sieg had come over as well, offering his input on using animal fats for the cover. It would stink, but it would definitely attract something. A cover was eventually placed on top as well, and soon enough, the fact that there was a pit trap in the area was hardly visible. A few markers were placed to ensure that no one accidently stepped into it, but it was ready.

Come the time of the hunt, Sieg will be prepared with his gear and ready to lure the pig into the trap as needed. His heart was thumping with excitement and even if they had to back off during the actual fight he hoped that it would still fall for the trap itself. This would be one of his first real chances to prove to everyone that he could fight.

Sieg takes a hiding place near the front of where the pig had been seen. He wanted to be on the frontlines of this fight if he could manage it.
