Amelia lay awake in her bed after the party doing her to get some, if not any, sleep. She eventually realized that sleeping seemed off the table and glanced over in the pitch dark, at the book that she knew was sitting there. Reaching into her bag on the bedpost she found her small flashlight and flipped it on.

It was an eerie sensation seeing the room through a thin tube of light without the addition of streetlights to bleed through the curtain. She knew she was well protected in the castle and with Nyx right beside her, but still the small child in her expected to see faces of monsters hiding in the deep shadowed corners. It did not help matters that demons and magic existed in this world.

Once she was done her quick scan of the shadows she quickly grabbed the book written by Athena and began greedily reading. Like a child who had stolen a book, they were not supposed to read from their older brother's room.

The Creation of the World
-Artemis

The book that you had found back in your own world from The Fremont Sunday Market back in Seattle, back in your own world. Back then, the old book was missing its first few pages, and the last pages of it. You had brought it with you in the pack when finding Nyx, and it wasn't until recently that you remembered it, and had Nyx use his 《Restore》 blessing to fix it back up. From there you found out the title of the book. The author, someone named' Artemis'. Along with the complete forward. After that, the book was written in a readable English.

The Forward and introduction introduced the author, along with a variety of other points. The main things you managed to get from the Forward was that there were multiple beings in charge of creating the world, with the author, Artemis, being one such of the individuals helping in the process. One thing you noticed was that many of the names the author had mentioned were ones of Greek gods and goddesses, though, there seemed to be others that you did not recognize.

The English sections of the book began the retelling of the creation of the world. It was similar to the Greek stories of creation that you have read about. It mentioned the primordial deities of Gaia, Tartarus, and Eros. Along with their offspring who then created more and more of other titans and gods.

QuoteReading the entire book will take at least 8 hours. Since it's 1 AM, state how long you want to keep reading. Do note that you need 8 hours of sleep to be considered a 'full rest'.

Wisdom check requested if you continue to read.

You continued reading. It was indeed a creation story. It started off with the introduction of the primordial deities. Ones that came before the titans and Greek gods. From there descriptions of each of these primordial deities were given, along with who gave birth to whom, along with the pairings that were made. There were stories about each of them, and after around an hour's worth of reading, it came to the story of the titans. Apart from the stories, the only unique thing that came to mind was the fact that one of the primordial deities was named 'Nyx'. Though, this was a deity of the night, and she wasn't a cat.
