Quirk: Carrie is a polyglot. She speaks all these languages with a thick Irish accent, however.

Personality: Carrie is an exceptionally outgoing, adventurous, and independent individual. Her childhood spent enjoying the outdoors and the athletic pursuits nature offered has granted this young woman a great deal of confidence. Being able to traverse a wide variety of terrain even before undergoing military training, as well as learning how to find food and survive in the wilderness rendered her remarkably independent. At no point in her life has Carrie ever had to fear fending for herself. In fact, Carrie routinely makes a point of helping others who can't fend for themselves. This compassionate mindset, coupled with a firm conviction that all human beings should be free from tyranny, was the motivation that drove her decision to enlist in the United States Marine Corps. Carrie has an intense love for nature and the creatures that inhabit it, often engaging in political activism aimed at preserving the wild spaces of the world. She does not, however, appreciate the screeching fanatics who decry hunters as inhumane monsters. She sees them as insincere about their activism, believing they're more interested in controlling the conversation on the subject by silencing opposition with moral outrage.

Intellectual capabilities: Carrie is a natural linguist, able to rapidly become conversant in languages she hears on a regular basis. Regular use of new languages enables her to quickly attain fluency. Carrie is also capable of quickly diagnosing a wide variety of mechanical problems, as well as basic electrical problems, and subsequently repairing them. Carrie has been trained to employ explosives for the purpose of breaching fortified structure or demolishing them. She is capable of calculating the required charge to accomplish a planned demolition or forcible entry and determining minimum safe distances from different explosives prior to detonation. She is also capable of creating shaped charges designed to penetrate heavy armor. Carrie is also trained in a variety of navigational, as well as surveillance techniques. Finally, Carrie is a capable teacher and leader, eager to impart the knowledge she has gained to others who will benefit from it.

Physical capabilities: Carrie is exceptionally athletic, owing to a life spent enjoying the outdoors, as well as military training. She is capable of completing a triathlon, is an expert swimmer, and has absolutely no issues hauling 65+ pounds of combat gear long distances. Carrie is capable of holding her breath for nearly three minutes while diving for clams, oysters, or the like. Carrie has a high level of pain tolerance, enabling her to continue fighting despite multiple bullet wounds.

Biography: Carrie spent her childhood on a highly successful farm owned and operated by her parents and grandparents, situated not far from California's coast. Her father may have wanted a son to whom he could pass on his knowledge and ideals, but found himself realizing that he could teach his daughter the same lessons. Carrie quickly grew to appreciate the outdoors, spending much of her childhood as a girl scout, but also learned a great deal about how to maintain and repair farm equipment, as well as roadworthy vehicles when her father was called upon to fix a friend or acquaintance's malfunctioning daily driver. Carrie learned quickly the value of hard work and honest effort, seeing firsthand the difference between a dedicated farmer working a field and a lazy part-time hire more interested in a paycheck than the work they were doing.
Throughout her time in school, Carrie was always the one girl everyone else envied. In elementary school, it was because she always had a story to tell about a recent camping trip or visit to the beach. In middle school, it was the fact that she had a boater's license and could drive her family's boat, or a rented Jet-ski, without supervision. It was also the fact that Carrie often dove for shellfish. In high school, it was the fact that while everyone else was on some kind of diet trying to stay skinny and attractive, Carrie led a life active enough that she didn't need to think about it. Her friends constantly asked her for tips, but the 'popular girls' were positively green with jealousy that the boys they had their eye on were all trying to date Carrie instead. Ironically, Carrie was constantly frustrated by the reaction potential suitors had when they realized that the farmer not only owned the stereotypical shotgun, but was exceptionally protective of his only daughter, and ridiculously accurate with a load of double ought buck.
Before the end of her high school career though, Carrie would find herself fed up with the insanity that the Islamic State had begun spreading across the middle east and nearby continents and enlist in the armed forces. Carrie chose the Marine Corps and was deployed to Syria for her first tour. There, she served as a translator and assisted in the gathering of valuable intelligence in the field. She also participated in offensives against heavily dug in enemy positions in urban environments.
At the end of her time in Syria, Carrie was rotated back State-Side to serve as, among other things, a Drill Instructor at Paris Island. She participates in the training of the next class of Marines before being granted leave. The vacation she had planned for this period of time didn't go quite as planned......

Misc: Carrie is a target. Because she has fought against the Islamic State, particularly because she's a woman who did so, the terrorists want her dead and will go to great lengths to do so. She'd probably wind up entering the new world after they made an attempt on her life accompanied by the infamous phrase 'Allahu Ackbar'. Whether or not the attempt succeeds is entirely up to you.
