[info]Closed RP. Lynne only, unless granted by GM.[/info]

Calling out to your Pokemon you made you way deeper into the island, towards the large mountain or volcano at the center. You kept your eye out for any other resources you might be able to use, but you didn't come across any streams or rivers. Instead, the foliage grew thicker and as you journeyed things became more and more difficult. You continued to call for Ruby, but you still couldn't find her. Finally, you managed to see what looked to be tracks on the ground, they were just around the size you would expect from your Growlithe, and without any other lead you figured it would be the best option.

Soon enough it paid off however, as you see Ruby dangling in what looked like mid-air. However as you came closer, you realized strands of sticky webbing held your Growlithe aloft. Alarmed you had begun to go towards him, unsure whether or not your Pokemon was still conscious. But then you heard a sound. A strange chattering echo, almost like a quick succession of short clicks. Most important of all, that sound grew closer and louder.

Lynne saw Ruby, tangled in the web. Then heard the clicking sound, of whatever had done that to Ruby. "Ruby!! I'll help you as soon as I can!" She knew that there'd be a fight on her hands. She unclipped her pokeball. Alright Deckard! Let's help Ruby!" The mareep came out of the pokeball, its wool could be heard crackling with electricity. Keeping her eyes peeled, Lynne looked around the area, hoping to stop whatever the creature was from getting the jump on her. "Alright, Deckard! When you see whatever this creature is hit it with a Thunder Wave!

Looking up you see what looked to be a giant spider attempting to hide from you as it tried to blend in with the leaves of a tree hanging above you. However, the moment you locked eyes with it, it sprang into action.

QuoteFull contact battle.

Deckard
Spinarak 1

Lynn to move or skip character's turn.

Oath

Lynne moved away from the creature, not too far away so she could still keep an eye on it, but she didn't want to be directly below it. She made an attempt to persuade the creature to be friendly. "I don't want to fight, we should be friends instead! I'm sorry if Ruby caused you problems.

[spoiler] Alright, I'm slightly confused on if I only had a move action or what. So if I have no actions, these will be done next turn.

Lynne attempts to charm the creature, to improve its disposition towards her. (Page 193)

Deckard uses Thunder Wave, if Lynne fails to change the pokemon's attitude. - Hits automatically, causes paralyze.

Throndir

You attempted to placate the Pokemon. And it seemed to pause, blinking a few times as it stared towards you. Though, it didn't do any other actions.

QuoteDeckard to take its turn.

Throndir

The Spinarak is paralyzed.

Before you could act further, two needles appeared out of the bushes, aimed towards the Mareep. Mareep had enough sense to dodge out of the way from one of them, but the other hit him directly.

Lynne panics as Deckard is hit. "Deckard are you alright?!" she thought a few moments. If the pokemon was paralyzed she should be able to catch it! She pulled out a pokeball and hurled it at the creature assaulting her.

The Pokeball you threw went out, and within moments it was captured.

QuoteMareep's turn. Looks like you resolved the pokeball. Noting it here for historical purposes.

Oath

Deckard trotted over towards Ruby's location, keeping a sharp look out on his way over. After arriving, he looks around seeing if there is anything he can do to help his friend Ruby down from the web.

There were something in the bushes. That much for certain. But as Deckard went to investigate, whatever they were eluded him and moved away. This time around the same attacks came from two opposite ends. One thing for certain however, was that there were two others.

Oath

Throwing caution to the wind, Lynne charged towards Ruby. She pulled the lighter out of her pocket, and flicked it on, the small flame dancing on the metal. Don't worry Ruby, I'll get you down!" She held the lighter up to the web, until it caught fire. Deckard wasn't doing so great, but she had at least eliminated one of the Pokemon. "Hang in there Deckard! We'll help you out in a minute! Hit them with a Thunder Wave!" It hurt her to see Deckard taking such a beating, but he was her only hope currently.

[info]Lynne is trying to free Ruby with fire. Deckard is attacking Spinarak #2 with Thunder Wave. (my final one for this scene)[/info]

The webs quickly caught on fire as the flames from the lighter easily weakened the web surrounding the Growlithe. Soon enough the webs started to disappear, and Ruby was freed. However as you took a closer look, Ruby looked haggard, and her hair was rugged. You saw various bruises and marks on her, and you can tell she didn't look fine.

[error]Ruby takes 2 fire damage.[/error]
[okay]Ruby is freed.[/okay]
Deckard sent off another Thunder Wave, paralyzing another Spinarak. Another shot fired...

[error]Deckard takes 18 damage. Deckard is knocked out.[/error]
The second shot aimed straight for Lynne.

[error]Lynne takes 11 damage.[/error]

Oath

Ruby tumbled down from the web, and she didn't look so good. Deckard had gone down. Lynne winced as she was struck by the attack, letting out a cry of pain. She pulled out her Pokedex and used it on one of the spiders, to identify them and shouted to Ruby. "Ruby! Use Ember!" and pointed towards the Pokemon that had not been hit by Deckard. Flames welled up around Ruby's mouth and burst forth, flying through the air traveling towards the spider.

[info]Lynne identifies Spinarak in her Pokedex. Ruby shoots Ember @ Spinarak 3. Ruby has Flash Fire Ability, if retroactive in this post, she is immune to fire damage, and gets +5 on her next fire attack.
Ember hit Roll - [blockquote]Rolled 1d20 : 8, total 8[/blockquote]

Your Pokedex came to life, and within moments it dictated some information about the Spinarak you fought.

[info]Directed at Spinarak 2.[/info]
You realize that the specific Spinarak that you had targeted was slightly bigger than the other two.

Though haggard, Ruby spewed forth a blast of ember, and soon enough knocked out one of the opposing pokemon.

[okay]It's super effective!
Spinarak 3 took 46 damage. Spinarak 3 is knocked out.[/okay]
The poison in Ruby's body began to take effect from the movements.

[error]Ruby takes 6 damage.[/error]
Spinarak, though still paralyzed, managed to pull off another attack, this time targeted towards the Growlithe.

[error]Ruby takes 14 damage.[/error]
That last hit took a lot from Ruby, and you see her doing her best to simply keep standing.
