Title: Chapter 2: Storm's Aftermath
Post by: Throndir on January 15, 2016, 04:26:26 PM
~ Day 2 ~

Letina, Vinny, Kram, and Aivil
Vinny had spent the day fishing, while the rest crowded around Kram's unconscious body helping to tend to him. However, when the sun was finally setting, Vinny, along with some slight help from Letina, managed to build a large four-person shelter. It was almost-thrown together, but the fact that it could protect, well enough, four inhabitants made it useful. If it weren't for Vinny's uncanny sense of the wilds, the other three would have had a hard time. And it was there in this make-shift shelter that the four stayed the night.

When morning came, Kram's breathing normalized, and though he seemed better, he was still far from alright. Letina and Aivil had done their best to treat the man's wounds. At the very least they had managed to take out the splinters of wood stuck in Kram's hands, and his chest, as well as the various splinters across his entire body. They didn't have much to work with to use as a brace for his broken arms and legs, but they made do with what they had. It wasn't perfect, but it was better than before. Kram still had severe injuries on his body however, and even though they had tried to keep the wounds as clean as possible, there was still a risk for Kram's well-being to get worse.

[error]Kram cannot do any Body skill check, unless he takes HP damage.
Kram to roll Body attribute skill check against infection[/error]
[okay]Kram is conscious![/okay]
[info]Feel free to describe the bad four-person shelter.[/info]
Daniel and Sigon - Midnight
Your camp was starting to form well. It wasn't the best, but considering what you had to work with, the shelter was decent. You had created it to be large enough for two people, and bringing the unconscious man in it with you still left plenty of legroom.

It was around mid-night that the unconscious one suddenly woke. It wasn't any sudden movements and there was a good chance the man was conscious for a minute or two before then. But it was the man's slight irregular movements that had alert Daniel.

[okay]Sigon is conscious![/okay]
[error]But he'll be hungry and thirsty.[/error]
[info]Feel free to describe your decent two-person shelter as long as it follows this guideline/example: Roof made out of thick leaves, logs for support structure, flooring.

You can begin your roleplay after midnight, or in the morning, whichever either of you prefer.[/info]
Lynne
Opening your eyes, you shivered from the cool morning wind. It was particularly cold, but exposure to it from the entire night wasn't comfortable. Your make-shelter held up though. IT didn't offer the best of protection against the environment, but it was a start. You felt a lot more refreshed as well, at least compared to the day before. The gash on your arm was still deep and painful, but it had started to clot. As for the wound your chest, you noticed that it was healing well. Though you had some berries to stave off hunger, you felt the pangs of thirst. Your dry lips was only one such indication.

[error]You are thirsty! Suffering -2 to all skill checks. Find and drink water to recover. Roll normally, I'll apply these myself.[/error]
[info]Feel free to describe your bad one-person shelter, example: Simple wooden angled roof made of branches and leaves.[/info]
Garret
Feebas swam and swam, pushing with all his might to the island shores. Sure, she wasn't very powerful. Her strength in tugging her master against the waves was meager compared to the forces of nature, yet she continued to push onwards. She continued swimming even when her fins began to tire out, it was an entire night's effort, but it seemed like an entire year had passed. Soon enough of however, she made it to shore, pushing her beloved master, still unconscious and near fatal wounds, towards dry-land.

When it came to the point where she could no longer push him further, the Feebas began fumbling into Garret's clothes, looking for something specific. It was there that she found it; a Pokeball. She knew Garret was in a dangerous situation, and began to attempt to free their other companion; Hirotoshi. There was a click, and the center point of the ball began to glow red...

[info]I'll allow you to use Hirotoshi and Himiko within reason. I'll prevent something that I think may be overstepping bounds on the capabilities of your Pokemon.[/info]

Title: Re: Chapter 2: Storm's Aftermath
Post by: Linwelin on January 15, 2016, 08:36:22 PM
Daniel awoke to movement next to him, movement he certainly hadn't expected. It was the man; the man was conscious.

"Shoot!" He reaches to his belt beside him, pulling up Rue and Bolt's Pokeballs. He climbed out of his makeshift lean-to shelter, and called out "Rue, Bolt, come on out!" At his two friends' arrival, he sprang into action. "Guys, the man is waking up, we need a fire to make some more food for him. I'll collect some more wood for the fire pit. Rue, you'll need to use absorb on the sticks to make them dry for tinder. Bolt, I'll need some sparks for a quick fire on the tinder when Rue works her magic.. For now, watch over him while I get a few sticks." Both nodded, and Dan ran off to get sticks. A couple minutes later, he laid them in front of Rue in the fire pit.

"Alright, Rue, do your stuff!" Rue sucked the nutrients from the sticks, leaving dry husks perfect for tinder. While Rue stayed near the man, lending the relaxing powers of her aroma ability to him, Dan and Bolts got to work, with Daniel rubbing sticks together for initial heat, and Bolt adding a final spark to set it on fire. Dan then spent time adding wood to the fire, having a health burn in around 15 minutes of total work. He noticed the man rising from his rest, and called out a greeting. "Glad you're feeling better, friend. Just sit tight and I'll make you some food, I'm sure you're hungry since that ordeal."

Daniel then gets to work cooking some herbed berries, an even simpler dish than his own, but as far as emergencies go it would do the trick. He then quickly turned around to serve the man his meal. "Here you are, it's not much, but it should help you stabilize. I'll be trying to get fresh water again tomorrow. for us both." Dan, Bolt and Rue all looked at the man as they waited for a response, making sure he was, in fact, alright and alive.

Aivil
All your work in maintaining Kram's health have made you forget about your own injuries. Your knee was scraped, and your right arm was bruised black and blue. You also just now realized you were missing one of your potions, a collection jar, and your Pokedex was broken.

...Bul   by...

...Lets        for       . They      help us        care      Kram...

...

...

...what's your name?

Kram awoke.

A mild headache from what he could make out to be his time asleep had just now passed.

I'm Kram- he reaffirmed.
Niawt, he said with regret.

"I couldn't save everyone, could I?"

Immediately he saw a deep green, dark brown ceiling above him, twigs, leaves, brought together in a haphazard dance resembling the aftermath of a horrible hurricane and found himself lying beneath all of it.

The last thing Kram remembered was being crushed under a ceiling and a little bit of shock overtook him when he initially looked up above. Fearing it might fall, he moved his hand in front of his face out of instinct. Kram stared up at the ceiling once more. Although abstract and poorly built, the ceiling managed to hold when he threw a nearby PokeBall at it, an empty one he figured as a familiar pang sound and red wave of light didn't come out. He was about to launch his super-secret Bulba Smash move but Bulby wasn't anywhere to be seen.

It's not concrete, he sighed, staring at the ceiling again.
Guess I won't appear manly if I hold something like twigs and branches huh-

He slowly brought his head up with some difficulty to glance at his surroundings, eyeing several wooden splinters that should've been piercing his body, but alas, weren't present. Several jacket sleeves and strings of various sorts, some of which he couldn't mistake for anything else but backpack straps, held one of his arms and both of his legs like a pseudo cast. His earlier movements to protect his beautiful face from imminent danger caused the cast on his right arm to wane and with little effort, got rid of the straps entirely.

Casually flicking his freed arm in several directions to confirm a full range of motor control, he began undoing the rest of the straps that immobilized him; things became progressively simple as he got his left arm freed.

Kram's injuries had yet to completely heal- he could understand that the moment he had successfully stood up, sharp aches of pain assaulting him from the most mischievous of places. Most of his wounds were clotted with dried blood, some of which were bandaged and still oozing out. Blood came flowing down his face as he stood, most likely an injury that reopened upon standing up.

Moving was painful, so he quickly sat himself down. Kram decided he'd only force his body to move if it was truly a necessity; he knew well the benefits of rest after all the times he trained overworking himself.

Kram was organizing his thoughts when a blur the size of a large football came charging towards him. Noticing the thing fast approaching, Kram lifted himself up, brought his hand inwards and put his right foot out into a stance. You could tell at first glance that it was a very practiced notion. Still, it looked a bit less intimidating when Kram's breaths were heavy and ragged. The blood flowed down his face faster and faster. Some of it would have to end up in his eyes if it kept flowing.

Let's get this over with quick! He flicked the blood from his forehead.
I can't protect anyone if I can't even keep myself safe!

Standing with some of his severe wounds being partially reopened was equivalent to being stabbed with a knife a couple times to say the least. He briefly closed his eyes in pain before reopening them; the blur was almost within arm's reach. The blood came back onto his forehead. Kram didn't have the time to flick it away again and had to make do with his limited sight.

The moment the blur reached for his waistline he nimbly took a step back, sweeping his foot up in an arc towards the assailant. A clear sounding kick resounded in the makeshift shelter. Kram watched as the blur left his kick, flying up through the ceiling. The ceiling now had a beach ball sized hole in it.

The contact of Kram's foot to the blur felt familiar. That blur also looked awfully familiar, but Kram couldn't grasp it.

No it couldn't be...
...Bulby? Ouch.

A small blue-green blur came crashing back down through the same hole it had gone up. A familiar Bulbasaur walked around dazed for some time but instead of falling, it ran towards Kram with a joyful glee.

"Bouubaaa!~"
"Oh I missed you! Hahaaa! Come over here!"

And as Bulby was about to come towards his hugging arms, Kram executed a backflip, legs locked together. His heels hit Bulby downward into the dirt. Bulby went topside once again behind Kram as he stood in front of the entrance facing the inside.

"Ain't that a familiar sight! Hahahaaa!~" the smiling trainer laughed loudly
"Bouu...Bouuubaa?" Bulby asked.

"It's because you let your guard down! Besides, I didn't clearly see it was you when I kicked you last time. So I apologize for that."

"BOU BA-"

Kram cut him off-

"But I won't accept letting your guard down! The temptation of seeing me after you long struggle must've been pretty hard but you should face it like a man! Hahahaaa!~" his laughter quickly caught the attention of a passerby.
"Kram?"
"GWWWEHYAAAhyyahhhhh!?" He turned towards the sudden ear-distance-voice behind him but lost balance due to the pain brought by his wounds. The mix of surprise and pain was too much for his legs as he came tumbling down.
"K-k-kraam!? A-are you okay?"

He fell a magnificent fall, tripping over Bulby who was then squished under his free falling body. Listening to the voice now that he had the chance to pay attention to it, she recognized her as the girl Kram saved earlier on the cruise. She stood in the entrance staring at the mix known as Kram and Bulby. Bulby was secretly laughing at Kram's perfect guard.

"I think I'll just stay here for a bit Ms...
Uhh..."
The timid black haired girl slowly averted her gaze when she noticed Kram's rather passionate glare.
What was her name again? I could've sworn I-
Then Kram remembered she never got her name! Genius Kram strikes again!
Right, I never got her name!
As I was saying...

"Aivil Nodgnal. My n-name you asked?"

"My name's Kram!" He declared boldy-
"B-but you already introduced yourself to me on the cruise before..." Aivil twiddled around with her fingers at Kram's second introduction.

Right, whoops, taking my dreams as reality, hehe~ he recalled the moments following his awakening. He had to quickly come up with a believable response. He couldn't afford to look dumb in front of a lady, could he?
Rule of Chivalry Number Two: 'Act Smart!'

"There's no harm done knowing my name TWICE, is there? Hahahah-GAAh!-" Pain started crawling up his spine, the consequences of moving his body.

I really shouldn't be moving. Least I sounded cool. I think.

"A-anyways you should lay down! You shouldn't be s-standinf-e-exerting yourself s-so much!" her words were getting more and more jumbled.
"Please let me stay right here then Miss Nodgnal!" Flashing a quick smile, followed by a quick grunt, Kram closed his eyes and his breathing became shallow. Sleeping, he was; only, he was faking it this time, seeing how, err, hearing how Ms. Nodgnal would react. He hoped she wouldn't disappoint.

"Ahh, he slept..." she whimpered, exhaustion written on her face.
"Now I'll have to ask Bulby to help me again!" she took notice of Bulby waving it's arms in front of it's face. It occurred to Kram that he never stated Bulby's name. Kram put more effort into his hearing knowing that some lovely reasons would be revealed here. Actually he didn't, because Kram's as smart as a rock. Except for a few bits, Kram was knowledgeable about nothing else. He focused anyways; anything Kram does 'is genius!', so Kram thinks.

"You know, Bulby," she squatted down close to Kram and looked at Bulby's head peeking out from under him. Her half-closed eyes looked into Bulby with the feeling of sympathy. There wasn't anything Bulby could feel sympathetic for, so Bulby stared cautiously back at Aivil's fleeting eyes.
"You could just use your vines to carry Kram onto the proper bed behind you. It's just a blanket but it's better than having Kram lay out on the dirt ground..." Following Aivil's instructions, Bulby's face lit up, a smile like Kram's plastered across his face and started raising Kram with it's vines. After hearing the black haired girl, Aivil, speak an entire full sentence without stuttering, Kram was a little shaken, crying a little maiden cry that this wonderful single lady (probably) was uncomfortable around him. What else could Kram figure out? Anyone who couldn't speak with confidence in someone's presence had to be nervous! And of course that nervousness would be out embarrassment, awkwardness, lovesickness...
Kram was crumbling inside, each motivation he ever had in chivalry, lost.

WAIT!-

Kram had to think of something dumb.

LOVESICKNESS! Haha! Kram, you're a genius! There is hope yet to know this Aivil!

So his fantasies grew.

Kram felt weightless under Bulby's Vines for a bit before feeling the slight cushioning the blanket had to offer.

"Well that's that." Aivil patted Bulby's head, making her way to the door before the entrance soon enough, smiling lightly.
"Guess it's time I head out and help the others-"
A high pitched yelp of sorts came from the girl- yawning?

"Or not. Bulby come closer..." Her eyes closed shut for some time. When Bulby approached out of concern-

"Bou-
BAAAA!?"

Aivil decided to use Bulby as a pillow and put him under her head. She already set another blanket opposite of Kram's feet out of nowhere, right next to the door. Bulby was debating whether or not to struggle from Aivil's grasp when-

Bulby threw Aivil towards Kram with it's powerful vines.

"Wha!-"
"!"

Kram attempted dodging but was too late. He should've known better then to think Bulby wouldn't pay him back in full with his earlier kick.

The impact from Aivil's head to Kram's stomach caused him to cough blood all over a wide-eyed Aivil.

Her face to be exact.

"HII-

HIIYAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Aivil bolted out, probably running to find water or something to wipe away Kram's blood at any cost.

"Leave the bleeding victim dying, got it..." Kram groaned, rubbing his numb stomach before staring at a smiling Bulby.
"Bouuuubaaaaaa!~" Bulby teased.
Guess I'll have to keep my guard up next time.
"I concede."

...

...

Half an hour passed and no one had came to see old injured Kram.

"This is kinda lonely..." Kram petted a snoring Bulby next to his side.
"I kinda wanna do something. Gah-

Someone tell me something to do!"

Lynne Lockley

Day One
[spoiler=Click for Music]
http://youtube.com/v/rIwl2cDwStw&autoplay=1[/spoiler]

Lynne found Ruby, along with trouble. Three Spinaraks were present, though they were hidden. Lynne was friendly towards the first, but it seemed to have no effect. Deckard (a Mareep) used Thunder-Wave, and Lynne caught it. She named it WebzyThings took a turn for the worse, however. Lynne and Deckard approached Ruby caught in the web, when two more Spinaraks attacked. Deckard managed to paralyze one of them before going down, Lynne used the lighter she had found to burn the web and set Ruby free, but the Growlithe was poisoned. With two quick embers, Ruby finished things off, but the poison remained in her system. Lynne was worse for wear too, having been attacked by the Spinaraks. She returned her Pokemon to their balls, and stumbled through the forest until she happened upon a clearing large enough for her tent. The tent was holey, and wouldn't keep out all of the elements but it beat just setting her sleeping bag on the ground.

It was a painstaking process, her entire body was sore. But she managed to set up her tent. She used her bag to cover up some of the holes lower in the tent to protect her from the wind. She laid out her sleeping bag, and climbed inside. "I hate this." She was sobbing. Ruby and Mareep were both hurt and it was her fault. She needed to find some of the other survivors. She couldn't make it on her own.

Day Two
The sun filtered through the holes in the tent, the dappled light splashing over Lynne's face. The cool morning air quite chilly after a long night. Her body ached and her throat itched. She was thirsty. She ate the mangoes, so she would need to find more food and some water.
She packed her things and set out, leaving her pokemon inside their pokeballs. "Oh please, let today be better than yesterday." She was still shaken after the events the day before. She walked through the forest, looking for some sign of water or anything edible. Ideally, a friendly person would pop out and take her to a village or something where she wouldn't have to worry about the elements.. but that was just a dream.

Letina Rae Deslégeech

It was a good thing Letina had gone to help the small group. Vinny, who she had met long before this disaster, was apparently very good at this survival stuff. He had taken what she had started for a shelter and turned it into something a bit more livable. He even took the fresh branches her Pokémon had retrieved from the forest and used them to add extra protection. She still disapproved of his methods of battle, assuming he still chose to battle in the way he had before. If he did it in front of her again, she would be sure to berate him for it, regardless of his current help.

Once he had finished that and Letina and the other girl had finished working on the wounds of the unconscious man, the girl found herself unable to stay awake much longer. The other girl seemed to take the remaining care for the unconscious man in her own hands, so Letina decided it was okay for her to go and sleep in the shelter. Before allowing herself to fall asleep, however, she decided to call out her Pokémon. As no one had found wood that would work for firewood and it seemed she was the only one who had any fire Pokémon, she would have to ask her friends to help keep everyone warm for the night.

Upon waking the next morning, the blonde found herself feeling even more achy than she had felt the day before. Normally, if she woke up like this and had nowhere to be, she would lay in bed for a few hours and then slowly drag herself to the bathroom to get herself prepared for the day. Her current circumstances were not normal, however. She had woken to the sight of quickly thrown together shelter. Quilz lay happily snuggled in between herself and the other girl. It had been agreed that Blaise should sleep next to the unconscious man, since he was likely to need the most body heat with his wounded state. The Torchic hurried to Letina's side upon seeing that she was awake. He always had been a morning bird. Coalee had slept on the other side of Letina, in between herself and Vinny, and seemed to be in an alert semi-unconscious state.

Quilz was the only one that did not move the moment Letina sat up. The Lady smiled at her slumbering Pokémon before recalling her back to her ball. Blaise and Coalee both looked at their mother expectantly. They had already eaten up all of the berries from the previous day and so had nothing to eat for breakfast. Unless they had found a stream of fresh water in their adventures in the forest, they were probably as thirsty as she was. Letina smiled at her two awake Pokémon and gave both a quick petting.

"I suppose we should go look for some more supplies." She whispered to them. With her water filter broken, she would have to hope she could find some fresh water that was safe to drink. She would have asked the others to go with her, but the only person who might go with her was Vinny and... well, she would rather not. Instead, she let him know she was going out and pointed in which direction of the forest she planned on exploring and promised to let him know if she found fresh water so they could use his water filter to cleanse it. With that, Letina, Blaise, and Coalee started off to scavenge around in the forest.

Daniel's morning was one full of thought. Other than having a camp set up, he was left with no food and usable water again, and have another mouth to sate. Thus his project this morning was to ensure he could have a stable supply of clean water. A while ago, having realized such being left without clean water could occur, Daniel looked into ways of treating water. And thanks to his cooking utensils, the process of removing salt, desalination, would be very easy. First, he took one of his pots to the sea side just out of camp, filling it with water and bringing it back to the fire pit. He then placed a smaller pot inside, one that was still tall enough to reach near the top of the bigger pot, sitting in the center. He then placed the dome-like lid of the big pot upside-down so that the handle was inside the smaller pot.

"There, that should do." Daniel said with a smile. he hoped to get enough water for the day in a few hours with this set up. "Rue, Bolt, Thistle, come on out!" Daniel let out all his Pokemon, even Thistle, who he knew wasn't exactly fond of him. The night before, he'd avoided bringing her into the initial mess so he could act fast, but now was a good time to let her stretch her legs, and if he was lucky help out. "So, right now, we're stranded on an island, without food and water, and an injured person to take care of. It's not an ideal situation, but I'm going to work hard to make sure we live. But I'm going to need help from all of you. Bolt-" Daniel ties the same around Bolt's Expert Belt securely for a bag and tracking. "I'll need you to go berry hunting again. Don't wander off too far. It's fine if you end up with nothing, the most important thing is you stay within howling distance. So if you're ever in trouble, call out. And don't go eating what you find this time, you're lucky you didn't get sick, you little glutton." Bolt nods sheepishly as Dan ruffles the fur on his head in an endearing pet. "Rue." Daniel turns to the Petilil as Bolt dashes off to search. "I'll need to make a fire again, so we'll need tinder. I'll be gathering wood shortly for you to dry out, but in the mean time, sunbathe here in camp to nourish yourself and get your strength up. Right now, I just want you to relax."

Finally, he turned to Thistle. It was unfortunate how they ended up together, with Daniel having more or less tore the Drilbur away from her home. That crazy Magikarp man had forced a bad situation, and he was just trying to protect her from that trainer's questionable treatment. But that didn't make Dan right. He should have released her back to her family, but there was no doubt he needed her help here. So it was a saving grace, in a way, that she remained with him. "Thistle, I know you're not fond of me. I'm not going to command you to do anything until I've made amends. But I could really use your help. I'll be getting food and water for us all, but I have nowhere to place excess and protect it from the elements. If you could dig a small pit, maybe as deep as you are tall, and twice as wide, it would save me the trouble later. I would really appreciate it."

Underground storage was the closest Dan could get to refrigeration for any spare fish he caught. But digging a hole would waste valuable energy, and such a task would be simple for Thistle. After padding it with cleaned palm leaves, Dan could have an insulated hole of food. Heck, he could possibly use the sea salt from the desalination to salt the meat for preservation.

"Other than that," Dan told Thistle, "just relax. But don't stray from camp. We don't know what's out there, and I want us all as safe as possible." Once that was established, Dan got to work getting tinder with Rue and making a fire. The set up he had would boil the salt water and catch the steam on the upside-down cover. The condensation would then drip into the smaller container, leaving behind any contamination. Once cooled, the smaller container would be full of pure water.

While waiting for the water to purify, Daniel spent some time healing the injured man, then setting up a landmark on a tree along the shoreline to mark where his campsite was for later identification.

[info]Dan spends the morning preparing camp for the long haul. Hopefully getting enough water for everyone.

Spend one AP to heal Sigon (half of the roll in the following post).

When Bolt is back, he's going to survey the shores for more survivors and salvage with all three of his Pokemon, heading to the right, facing the water. He'll spend the last few hours before evening fishing with an impromptu hook, bait and line that he'd used the day before.[/info]

It didn't take very long to setup your apparatus, with the readily available ocean water, soon enough you had filled the larger bottom pot with water, and had placed the smaller pot inside. All you would need is fire and eventually after that, maintaining the heat and flames that would desalinate the seawater. You suspect it would be enough for both you and your companion.

When it was time to command your Pokemon, Bolt happily obliged as he listened closely to your instructions. He would go off hunting for berries, and the job was something Bolt was already familiar with. He sped off immediately after his tail wagging, and his tongue hanging out.

But when you started giving instructions to Thistly, she at first resisted, crossing her arms and didn't seem to want to move or do anything. Eventually however, she started clawing at the ground, and soon after that, perhaps due to her pride as a Drilbur, began clawing and digging. Unlike Bolt who was more than happy to oblige, you could still tell however that Thistly didn't seem very enthusiastic at all.

Rue nodded slowly, locking eyes with you momentarily, only to dart her eyes away shortly after. She seemed quiet, but when it came to gathering tinder and creating the fire, she happily helped you prepare the tinder and eventually the fire.

The further you walked, the hungrier you became. Yesterday's ordeals, though it affected you physically, also affected you mentally. You were alone out in the middle of no-where, with Deckard knocked out, and Ruby severely wounded and likely poisoned. Even the Spinarak you had caught was still paralyzed. The injuries you had with you did not yet completely heal either, and they still impeded your movements through the jungle, making each step more tiring than they should be. You continued onwards, heading to your best estimation of where north-east was. Eventually you came upon what looked to be a tree bearing some sort of fruit.

You eventually ran into a bush containing some sort of berry.

You recognize the fruit. Something you had read in class once back at the Academy. Being an academy that prized actual experience, they had gone over tropical fruits in the off chance that one were to run into them. This particular fruit was indeed edible, though you remember it was hard to digest, as well as being tough to eat. There was apparently some slight poison in the fruit as well, though you were told it was nothing fatal. You don't quite remember what exactly were the side-effects however, and you recall that there was a way to neutralize the poison, though you don't remember it either.

Kathos Sigon

An awakening sting shot through Sigon's shoulder. He didn't know how long he had been out, but when he opened his eyes, he could see the sun had already risen. It couldn't have been less than twelve hours since the shipwreck. For a moment, he thought he was alone in his hunger and thirst and that he had by some miracle ended up on shore and not drowned, but when he heard a voice next to him, he realized he had probably been saved instead.

"Shoot!"

Had something happened? He felt the man jump to his feet next to him. Sigon's vision was still blurred from the trauma, an inconvenience he prayed wasn't permanent. He at least saw the blur dart away, talking about getting a fire going and other stuff. Sigon was too disoriented to focus very easily on what was being said.

Where were they? Clearly they weren't on the ship anymore. He knew he was in some kind of shelter, but he could also see the outlines of trees swaying in the sun. And judging by the sound of the ocean, they were near the beach. Beyond that, Sigon couldn't tell. It was still hard to focus, so it took him a bit to put two and two together. They were shipwrecked and now they were on the beach.

They were castaways! But where? An island? Was it inhabited? Would rescue come? How far away did the ship get stricken? The questions all came to him at once. He was rather frustrated with himself that he couldn't answer any of them, but he took comfort that his vision was steadily beginning to grow clearer. The relaxing aroma in the shelter help calm him down, too.

The pain in his shoulder panged again. He groaned inaudibly, managing not to draw any more attention to it. He didn't want to make his savior feel like he hadn't done a good job bandaging it up and removing the splinter from it. He instead put his effort into trying to lean up to see what the man was doing now that his vision had cleared to a satisfactory clarity.

"Glad you're feeling better, friend. Just sit tight and I'll make you some food, I'm sure you're hungry since that ordeal." The man had noticed his movements.

For a second, Sigon looked at the man and the work he had been doing while Sigon was just trying to get up. He already had a fire going and was beginning to use it to cook some berries for food.

"Thank you," he eventually managed to say, albeit quietly. He wasn't sure if the man was able to hear him over the fire.

"Here you are, it's not much, but it should help you stabilize. I'll be trying to get fresh water again tomorrow. For us both."[/b]

Before Sigon could blink twice, the man had already finished what he was cooking and served it up. Sigon looked up at him once the meal arrived. "Thank you," he repeated, this time sure that he could be heard. He wasn't really sure what else he should say. He was still mildly disoriented and continued to have trouble focusing. He ate the herbed berries in silence, slowing growing drowsy again as if he had not just slept for long hours.

His rescuer seemed to have been waiting for a further response as Sigon ate, but all the injured man could think of by the end of his meal was rest. As if no one else was around, he relaxed back into his pillow and closed his eyes, succumbing to slumber moments later.

Again, Sigon started to come to. He couldn't tell how much more time had passed, but thankfully his rescuer was still around. The pain in his shoulder seemed to have gone down since his last awakening. Whether it was because he rested more or because the man might have done more first aid while he slept, Sigon didn't know, but it was certainly a welcome improvement.

He leaned up again to see what was going on outside. There were a few Pokémon helping out around the camp. There was a mole Pokémon he couldn't remember the name of that was digging a hole outside and he could see a Shinx that he hoped belonged to the man rummaging through some nearby bushes. But on further inspection, he could see a third Pokémon just not doing anything. At first he thought it was another plant by how little it was moving, but he recognized its features now and it was definitely a Pokémon. He wondered if the man had told it to take a break or something.

It took him some time, but after having rested for at least half the day, mulling over what had happened over the last 24 hours, and finally coming to his senses, he decided it was time to see what the damage was with their trip. He slowly stood up from the bed, noticing only then that the guy who saved him was the only other person around. Were they the only two survivors? Had any bodies washed ashore? How many Pokémon would now be forever trapped in a Poké Ball? The questions were starting to pour into his mind again. He wasn't sure these were thoughts he cared to dwell on, though. He had enough problems to worry about without thinking of those less lucky than he.

He stumbled a bit, but made it to the doorway of the shelter and stopped for a moment. Should he ask to help? Was there really much he could do in his condition? Should he even be up and about? His shoulder still certainly didn't feel its greatest and he could feel a few more cuts around his body now that he was upright. He might just be getting in the way, but he couldn't just push all the work on his rescuer. Not after all he had done for him.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" he finally forced himself to say. At the very least, he could get Parfait or Sting to lend a hand. And surely there was something Sigon himself could do with his good arm.

Though he'd hoped to get more of a response from the man, but it seemed the injuries still took a heavy toll on him. Daniel helped the semi-conscious man back to a good resting position as best as he could in the somewhat cramped lean-to before going back to tending the camp. Finally, he put out the fire, called back Rue and Bolt, and headed back to sleep himself.

Daniel heard a call from behind him, turning to see the stranger he had tended to the past couple days to be sitting up and fully conscious. "Ah! Good afternoon, you seem to be feeling better, I'm glad." Dan greeted in return. "As for helping out...well, the number one priority is you recovering; if you injure yourself in another way, we have to start from square one again. I can take care of camp, this kind of stuff is what I live for. Instead, I haven't been able to check on your Pokemon; I'm not about to touch a Honedge that isn't familiar with me. Make sure your companions are alright, then rest." Daniel begins gathering some things before leaving camp. "If you begin getting stir crazy, though, feel free to tend to the camp however you think helpful. I'll be going fishing this evening, as well, so feel free to join me for that."

As Dan starts to head back, he turns around. "I'm glad you're alright. I'm not sure how many survivors like us there are, but I plan to aid every one that I can. I'll be searching today, I suspect if there are any, they landed mostly to the south of us. You're also welcome to join for that, if you think your body is up for it."

Hiro popped out of the poke ball uninjured but shaken Grey had just managed to protect them before things went to hell and now here he was unconscious on the beach. He dragged the light teen further up into the sand and away from the waves. The pokemon knew that until they could get him awake he would need protection. So looking around Hiro wanted to find some kind of palm tree perhaps heavy with coconuts and was going to chop a few down.

Letina
Regardless of whether or not they were poisonous or edible, you decided to gather the berries anyways. Methodically you began to pluck the berries from its vines, putting them into a bag as you continued to pull more and more. Your Pokemon decided to help as well then, grabbing on to branches and moving them to you so you can more easily pick them.

[okay]+1 Questionable Food (1002)[/okay]As you began to move the leaves out of the way to gather even more berries, you realized there looked to be sleeping Silcoon hidden away deep in the berry bushes. There were two of them, both of them side-by-side. Both of them sleeping soundly. You were glad that your earlier movements did not unnecessarily wake them up. But one of them stirred slightly.

[info]Roll stealth to see if it wakes up.[/info]Daniel
You made your journey southwards along the beach, taking in any sights along the way and keeping an eye out for survivors. As you moved south you found various debris littering the shore, but as you inspected those, they proved to be parts of the ship and other useless debris. The journey took a couple hours, and you did not run into anything out of the ordinary, in fact, it was quiet for the most part save for the sound of the crashing and rolling waves and the breeze coming from the oceans as they rustled through the trees.

It was already getting late with the sunset starting, and you knew that if you wanted to head back to camp, now would have been the best time. But it was then however, you noticed something further south, it looked to be a figure. The figure looked to be going through the beachhead, searching through the debris. You couldn't see any more details until you get closer, but you realized that it was another survivor.

Kram
Your injuries took a toll on your body, and even moving around was painful for each step you took. You decided instead to take it easy and rest. You had no fishing rod. You had no bait. But you grabbed a nearby stick anyways, and attempted to make a 'rod' out of it. You made it to a large outcropping overlooking the ocean and began 'fishing'. At least you would have, but a particular Krabby had began snapping off your 'bait' each time you placed it back.

[error]Kram takes 2 physical damage for moving.[/error]Aivil
You were worried about Kram, but first you had to wipe away all this blood on your face. With that in mind, you made it to the water, washing it away. You decided to scavenge around the beach as well, seeing if you could find anything useful for the rest of the group. Most of the beach area was already scavenged clean, presumably from Vinny and Letina the day before, so you decided to go further north along the beach. Soon enough more debris started littering the beach head, and eventually you came upon a box washed up on the shore after a few hours of going through the beach and looking over the debris. You assumed the box to be part of the cargo that was on the St. Jude. You knelt down inspecting the box. If you applied enough pressure, it looked to be open-able.

[info]Roll Athletics to attempt to open it.[/info]Sigon
Daniel soon left, and you were left with taking care of the camp with your Pokemon. Your injuries still hurt, and as ranger disappeared from view heading southwards you wondered how long of a journey he planned to make. The breeze of the ocean's wind was cool, but that was offset by the beating sun. There were still plenty of shade however. Though Daniel warned you to get your rest there was still a variety of options open to you. Daniel headed southwards, but there was also the beach to the north. The large volcano looming at what you suspect to be the center of the island far off in the distance also reminded you that the jungles probably had more resources that the both of you could use. The oceans were teeming with life, and though Daniel said that he'll come back by the end of the day to attempt fishing you could always have a head start. Lastly was the shelter that the ranger had created for the both of you. It was sturdy and well-built, and it did its job, but you could attempt to make improvements to it as well.

[info]I'll resolve specific actions.[/info]Hirotoshi
You worked hard on cutting all those trees. The sight was amazing, and in just a few mere moments you were able to cut down three trees near the shoreline in record time. You managed to bring them all into even and clean cuts. Your master would be proud!

[okay]+3 treeful of logs. Will be treating each treeful of logs as a flat +5 completion bonus to any shelter you apply it to.[/okay]Lynne
As you made your way north-east, you started feeling the breeze of the wind, and you noticed that the trees and shrubbery started lessening and lessening. Soon enough, the dirt started becoming rockier, and eventually became the familiar sand that you remember when you first arrived. Seeing all the water from the ocean made you realize that you were still thirsty, and also that you hadn't showered since the day before. The clothes that you wore were also dirty. Both from the ordeals of the shipwreck, as well as the journey through the jungles. As you started to take note of the beach again, something caught your eye just to the south. It looked to be a Machop with a large pile of logs next to it, and what looked to be a Corsola lounging nearby.

Perhaps you could catch them?

[/spoiler]

Lynne knew that those Pokemon had to belong to someone, but she didn't see a person around. Her adrenaline kicked in. She ran down the beach, shouting. "HEY! ARE YOU GUYS OKAY??" Stealth was the last thing on her mind. If there was another survivor here, she would need to work with them. She approached quickly, and didn't like what she saw. There was a Machop, and a Corsola, along with a man who looked to be younger than Lynne, soaking wet and unconscious on the beach. The Pokemon looked at her quizzically, as she knelt down besides the man. She noticed the pile of logs as well. "This man is your trainer, huh?"

Lynne would need fire if she wanted this to go anything resembling decent. It wasn't her first  choice, but she'd have to have Ruby take the only dose of medicine that she had on her. Ruby came out of her Pokeball, still looking shaken from her encounter with Spinarak. "Sorry Ruby, but you'll have to bear with this." Lynne fed Ruby the Healing Powder, cleansing her poison. The Growlithe looked upset with the taste of the medicine, but managed to deal with it. Lynne would need the help of her Pokemon friends, and this stranger's Pokemon as well to make things work out.

She let Spinarak out as well, then gathered with the four Pokemon around her. "Alright everyone, we need to save this trainer. But we will all need to work together to do it. I'll work on getting him a bit further away from the ocean." She looked to the Machop. "Machop, Can you cut one of those logs into firewood, and bring the larger logs up to where we will camp so we can dry this guy's clothes? We need fire to keep warm. Webzy, can you drag the cut logs up the beach with your webs? Corsola, can you dig a hole further up the beach so we have a fire pit? If you can't do it alone, Ruby and Machop can help you. Ruby, you will have the most important job of all, after the firepit is done, we will need you to light the logs on fire so that we can all stay warm."

It was a lot of effort with her injuries, but Lynne managed to get the unconscious man further up the beach. She knew that if he continued to wear soaking wet clothes it wouldn't be good for him. The camp was simple. Her tent was a little bit further away from the fire she didn't want a random spark to burn it down. She placed the trainer in her sleeping bag and managed to peel away his wet clothes as he lay near the fire. She put the clothes on the larger logs, hoping that the heat from the fire would dry them.  She was hungry, but she didn't remember exactly how to get rid of the poison in the fruit she had. She decided to see if heating it up would help. She found a stone and set the fruit on it next to the fire, letting it heat up for a while as she tended to the trainer. "Ruby, can you sleep next to him tonight? Make sure that he stays warm."

Suddenly her adventure had taken a turn for the worse, she was already having trouble fending for herself, and now there was another person. She couldn't just leave him for dead, so she had to do what she could.

As you started shouting, you moved closer almost running as you tried to grab the figure's attention. As you neared you realized that the person looked feminine, and as you drew closer you confirmed that fact.

Aivil
You heard someone calling out to you, with the unopened crate still at your feet, you looked over to see who it was. The voice wasn't familiar and soon enough you saw a man running towards you trying to get your attention.

Garret
Your Pokemon had move out to attempt to gather items for you, but apart from Hirotoshi's pile of lumber, only Koraru was able to come back with what she thought were edible. She had gathered the items and placed them next to Hirotoshi's pile. Himiko brought back small smooth stones as well - there were plenty on the sea-bed after all.

Garret remaining unconscious however.

[okay]+1 Food[/okay]Lynne
You began to get to work on saving the unconscious man's life. You gave your instructions to the Pokemon that were present, and the Corsola and Machop were quickly enamored by your presence, and you were clear and precise with your instructions. You had an aura about you that made it easier for the Pokemon to follow. They knew that you were trying your best to save their trainer, and the Corsola and Machop quickly obliged.

It took awhile for Corsola to dig, as well as Machop to cut the pieces of lumber into smaller bits, but soon enough the fire pit was created and a fire was started. At the same time you began setting up your makeshift and damaged tent, and eventually managed to place the stranger in it.

Once that was set, you had dried the strangers clothing, arrayed on a nearby log next to the fire pit, and the berries that you had found earlier started to cook. Eventually they began to have a slight char to them and the ones that were already smashed somewhat began to form into a mush. You took it out of the fire at that point.

Letina Rae Deslégeech

Those berries... They did look good, but she could not let her hunger get the best of her. Even if they looked similar to berries that she knew were safe, it did not mean that they definitely were safe. Similar did not mean the same, and Letina made sure that her Pokémon knew this. Someone back at the camp might know what they were, though, so she called out Quilz and asked all three of her Pokémon to help pick as many berries as they could. Even if they weren't safe to eat, they might be able to use them for something else.

'Huh?' Letina saw the Silcoon, recognizing them to be a cocoon type Pokémon. With the poor lighting filtering into the bushes it took her a moment to realize that it was a Silcoon and not a Cascoon. This was a very important fact in her decision-making as to whether she should try to catch it or not. Cascoons, although easy to catch because they refused to move, evolved into Dustox, which where scary moth-types. Other than use as a heater, since it was extremely warm inside the cocoon, it really could only be used as a paperweight... Silcoons on the other hand, they made silk threads. It was super useful in the creation of silk cloth and Letina could probably use its silk threads to make something she might need while stranded on the island. They also evolved into pretty Beautifly.

Letina pulled out a Pokéball and looked at her Pokémon. Coalee would probably be the most helpful, should it come to a battle with the two. She was the only one who had an actual fire attack. Most cocoon types were defensive enough to block the physical attacks that Quilz and Blaise had. The girl motioned to the two to either continue collecting berries or move a little away, then motioned to Coalee and pointed at the two Silcoon. They were sleeping, so maybe she could catch them without a battle at all? Though they probably would not be very happy when they did wake up to find themselves in an unfamiliar environment... What if she had Coalee go into the bush and bring them out? Its not like Silcoon could move very fast to run away...

No, it would be safer for all of them if she just threw a ball and tried to catch one of them. If the other one woke up, she would work things out from there.

Finally getting close enough to not yell, Daniel slows down. "Hello! Am I glad to see someone else from the wreck. And fairing well, too!" Daniel calms himself, happy to have found someone mostly uninjured. "Sorry, let me introduce myself. I'm Daniel, I was a passenger aboard the St. Jude. What's your name? I have a camp up the way if you need help or shelter." He steps forward and offers his hand for a handshake as he speaks.

As you took care of the person, not only was he unconscious, you realized that he seemed to be sick with something. At the very least, even though you dried his body as best you could, he continued to have a cold sweat with his shallow breathing. Assuming he was another one of the survivors, he took a lot of injuries from the disaster just yesterday. And even though his Pokemon seemed to have made it out of their Pokeballs, you had to wonder how long the unconscious man wore the cold and wet clothing, and how long he had been stranded in the water. You had noticed a Feebas swimming nearby as well, bringing forth small, round, and smooth stones to the beach in its attempt to help, and if that was one of the trainer's Pokemon too, you could only imagine what struggles that Feebas went through to bring his master onto shore.

The man had five injuries altogether. Each one looked serious in its own regard. You tended to the wounds on his arms and torso as best you can - wrapping makeshift bandages on it from your spare clothing. But the various wounds and bruises on the man's legs looked painful, in some ways you were glad he was still unconscious. It would at least save him from that pain.

Letina
[info]Karma resolved[/info]You put your hand through reaching to as far as you can go, you managed to touch it to the Silcoon and within moments the red light from the ball engulfed the poor Pokemon. But no sooner was it taken in, did the Pokemon come back out. Its rude awakening had awoken its companion as well, and neither of them seemed happy.

"That Kram!" She doused her head in the sea water again for good measure.

With a sigh, she propped herself back up again, her hair gaining a peculiar gloss as the droplets ran smoothly down her hair; droplets of blood, anyways. Aivil hadn't realized the blood had spread to her hair, but she called the task of cleaning her face complete. She was right about washing her face, not everything else. Someone would have to point it out to Aivil that her hair was just a tad bit bloody, and most likely, she would go rushing for water again. Perhaps she would ask if anyone collected water instead of running off into the mysterious night. She's at least a bit reasonable sometimes, not like a certain other time she stood frozen behind someone's sorry back saying something completely uncalled for the situation.

After she walked away from the water, she saw all these debris around her, likely wreckage from the ship. She began scavenging her way through the beach, losing track of time. Eventually she stumbled upon a unopened crate; one she already knew could not open. It was firm, and after giving it just a few tests, realized that even with a crowbar she might not be able to crack it. She knew her limitations well- strength was a big one. She'd most likely need the aid of someone else to open the crate, so she tried to at least roll the crate through the sand, back to camp. Unlikely it was, however, because she was breathing hard after just a single roll. Either the crate was heavy, or Aivil's strength was even less than what she thought it was. No one's been eating properly though. She quickly gave up on the ordeal and sat atop the crate, leaning ever so slightly into the air and letting it pass by her.

"I better get headed back to the camp-
               "

But her feet were rooted to the spot. They wouldn't move. But they did stand.

As if naturally, Aivil's wistful eyes wandered far into the distance, far from the island- somewhere towards the horizon that she couldn't possibly reach. It was a heart warming feeling, staring at the yellow sky. A lucid fantasy dream wouldn't be a wrong comparison to the rather wide and spectacular view right now. The waters glistened with liveliness in the face of the sun, dancing their little dances, waltzing in exact unison. Some worries had been released when she looked at the expanse of sky.

She stood there beneath it all, Sky-dazed-

There she found herself crying.

Her unease faced strong against the bright sunset nonetheless, letting the warmth comfort her worries if only for a moment. Her tears didn't flood her face like Kram's blood had, more akin to a weak stream, a delicate one. I never stopped to think about everyone else did I? Her fingers gently caressed her flush eyes, her closed hand tugging the flaps of her shirt. Dear grandparents, she started, I'm doing just fine. I'm alive. Don't listen to any news of me being otherwise she continued, someone's going to come find us and I'll make it back, all of us, I'm sure. How are you doing? Are you taking your medication? Are you taking eating correctly, taking care of yourself, washing the dishes, living well?...

Were all going to make it back right?

Her being-
Lost purity

Grey's Pokemon continued to move around without his guidence they could not do as much as they would have liked so they were left to gathering more materials for the sake of the group. Otherwise they did their best to help care for the teenager who was still badly hurt. Kora and Himiko both went back under the water to collect seaweed that was most likely clinging to the bank and Himiko continued collecting stones for her master to use. Hiro on the other had stuck on land was left to either attempt to cut down more wood or go gathering other materials from the surrounding forest. Though the prosepct of knowing which was the right type was a daunting process.

T-there has to be people looking for us. W-Wouldn't they search for survivors? Isn't that the right thing to do? The rescue team wouldn't just abandon us. Would they? Were not dead, and were still alive, Vinny's doing work and Kram's recovering and I think were finding plenty of supplies to live off of. We could survive for a long time. We could probably live here for years off the debris the ship's giving, a whole crew's worth for us to scavenge. If that turns up we could always plant something, water it daily, and grow food on our own farm right? But then we'd have to till the land and tend to it everyday. I'm sure Vinny and Kram would be up for the task. If that doesn't work, we might just starve to death. To be honest I don't see us being saved by anyone else other than someone out there who just happens upon us. Getting out through the ocean back to society is out of the question considering the only boat material I could see is wood from the tropical trees, and worst, I don't think we have an axe or anything to cut it with. The debris from the ship is sadly too lackluster for us to do anything with it, maybe with all the debris we could mash up something together, but that would be demanding much more effort for a slightly better material to work with, it's not viable, no realistic, unrealistic. Ahh, I wanna go home right now, what am I even doing here? I just want to sleep in my warm, comfy bed around my homely walls and ceilings, I want to eat not for survival but for my own pleasure, I want to eat a proper meal with my grandparents, Why'd the boat have to named St. Jude anyways? It's because the boat name sounds so much like a certain traitor in a book that it was bound to sink. The only way for a possible rescue is if a rescue team keeps searching the waters around here aimlessly until they arrive here, that's the only sensible thing that could happen, but what if this place isn't known, this island, or worst these waters? What if no one knows where we are? Perhaps that's why it might be taking any rescue boats awhile to get here, right? No, we shouldn't be too far from where the cruise sank, so they should easily be able to find us. Yeah, that's right, there's no way that were actually lost because the explorers and adventurers who first came to these places long ago have already done their job mapping it. There must be thousands of copies of those maps, and it won't be long until someone finds it and makes their way here. "Heeeey!" a voice broke her incoherent thoughts.

Wha,- who?-

"HEEEEEEEEEEY!"

Aivil's eyes were dumbstruck as she looked around, trying to discover where the voice was coming from. The voice wasn't familiar, at least not someone Aivil was acquainted with. A masculine voice.

"Hello! Am I glad to see someone else from the wreck. And fairing well, too!" the haggard stranger made his way in front of Aivil without her notice, too preoccupied, too prone to relapsing when-

"Sorry, let me introduce myself. I'm Daniel, I was a passenger aboard the St. Jude. What's your name? I have a camp up the way if you need help or shelter." The stranger, Daniel, introduced himself without much thought waiting for Aivil's response. Daniel brought his out to shake her hand, that much she understood.

Aivil...
Well she, um...
One sadness led to another and she
A stranger.
A survivor,
From St. Jude.
Someone had lived-

Took Daniel's hand and hugged him. And she cried, horribly so. She was a mess.

She fell down to her knees, almost bringing down the stranger in the process, but had managed to let go at the last possible second.

A survivor...

"I'm not alone..." she closed her eyes.

Comforting herself at the sounds of her own words-

"we...
we weren't abandoned..."

Garret
Your Pokemon continued to work, Himiko gathered rocks, and Hirotoshi continued to find trees to cut. Koraru tried looking for seaweed, but as she swam in the immediate area, she was not able to find any. It was almost late in the day, and your Pokemon have begun to tire.

Vinny Drechsler

Vinny was out cold, having done the bulk of the work putting together a suitable shelter big enough for the whole group just after a shipwreck, some fishing, and helping to drag an injured man to camp. He was exhausted. Even the ruckus of yelling and throwing things and people all over the shelter was not enough to wake the Magikarp enthusiast. Letina informing him where she was going likewise fell on the same deaf ears. All that had his attention that morning was his dream about licking every ice cream cone in the truck as it made its way to Poké-Deimenhorst. So far his favorite flavor had been Eggberry Twist.

But alas, all dreams had to come to an end before long. And this amazing dream ended no sooner than eleven in the morning. His eyes burst open as if a crab had just nipped his backside. He jumped up to stand on his makeshift bed, only finding it slightly awkward that he had slept in the same clothes he had worn throughout the day. But what he saw was even more irksome than his lack of Magikarp pajamas. Nobody else was left in the shelter.

He scratched his head in thought. He knew he had left them all right in this very room. It wasn't as if they had all grown a pair of legs and run off, was it? Or was he thinking of things that didn't already have legs? These were humans, weren't they? They all had legs! How could he have forgotten? But that only solved half the problem. He now knew how they had escaped, but now he had to know why. Did he snore in his sleep? Did his shelter have a leak? Did he forget to shower again? Had he not enough berries to go around?

That was it! Everyone was jealous that he had berries and they didn't, so they all ditched him! 'Dummkopf, Vinny!' he thought to himself, 'Zese vere going to be friends! And you scared them off!' He stood there on his bed for a moment longer, mulling over his options.

Option number one was to simply go back to sleep. It seemed like a good idea at first, but then Vinny realized he wasn't tired anymore and sleeping wouldn't really help any of his current situations, so he quickly scratched that one off his mental list.

Option number two was to burn down the shelter and build a bigger, better shelter nearby! This could really draw in the potential friends and, if it were good enough, would really gain him the respect and admiration he deserved! Plus they would have a fire to cook stuff on! It would even somehow bring him one step closer to being the ultimate Magikarp trainer! He just knew it!

Option number three, however, immediately took priority. He could go out alone into the nearby forest and go berry hunting. As exciting as it seemed to build a shelter, he wasn't sure he had the resources to create a fire so he could burn the other shelter down. Plus the idea of having berries was much more inviting to him.

That was that, then. He quickly grabbed what belongings had survived his swim ashore, ran straight into the thicket, and began his intensive search for the greatest berries on the island. "Come, Kimmel!" he shouted on his way out, despite the fact that the Magikarp was still in his Poké Ball, "Today ve shall find one szousand berries!"

Vinny
You began your search for berries in the jungle searching high and low for any the tasty morsels. You looked for anything that could be a berry, and though it had taken quite some time searching through the rainforest, you did manage to find berries. Unfortunately it looked like some Pokemon was already eating it.

It looked similar to the pet side-kick of a certain red-clothed Italian plumber.

Daniel was surprised when the unknown girl embraced him crying. For a moment, he didn't know what to do, especially when he was nearly dragged to the ground when she collapsed. She must've been at wits end...poor girl.

Not sure what else to do, he stroked her head to try to comfort her, "It's alright, you're going to be fine." After a brief moment, her words hit him, and his eyes widened in realization. "Wait, 'we'?" Dan questioned looked down toward her, crouching to so she didn't end up straining herself. "Are you with others? Have more people survived!?" Daniel was afraid that it had just been him and the man he'd nursed to health again. If there were more, they actually had a great chance for survival. Hopefully they were able-bodied as well. Then there would be more people for fishing and gathering and building. Heck, with a few days, they could have a cabin set up for safety and warmth.

Still, Daniel would need to head back for the night to care for the other man, which it just occurred to him he'd never asked his name. But if he could meet the others, and make sure they were well-off, then he would be more than content. First is the matter at hand, though. Daniel thought to himself. The girl was still a shaking mess at his feet, and he needed to find a way to steady her if she couldn't do it herself.

Vinny Drechsler

It took nearly an hour of walking aimlessly through the trees, but Vinny was at last met with the sight that turned his ordinary day into one of the most memorable days of his life. That's right, he found a bush full of delicious berries! But what was this? Some kind of evil abomination was using its sly powers of getting there first to take these berries away from him! This was not okay! Whatever this green lizard thing was would have to pay!

A visible disturbed look appeared on his face. Who was this creature who thought it could just waltz through the forest and chow down on whatever berries it felt like? Vinny would have none of it! He reached into his bag with and with a great thrust of his arm, threw the first occupied Poké Ball he felt there. "Kimmel!" he cried, "Show zis monster ze error of his ways!"

But the tell-tale red laser glow that burst out of his capsule yielded a sight far from the Magikarp he had spent the most important years of his life with. Instead, it was the deformed landfish he had crossed paths with before the cruise. He had forgotten about this shiny Magikarp! Felix, was it? He had expected Kimmel and already knew what he would have his best friend do to rectify the situation, but it was doubtful he would have the time to switch them out. Felix would have to handle it instead.

"Felix! Schnell! Use ze Hyper Beam!" He shouted, fully expecting this beautiful creature to carry out his command to a T.

Of course, it didn't know that move. It was unsure what to do, but it didn't want to disappoint its trainer. Did it? But what could it do? For a moment, it looked as though it was going to begin panicking, but at the last possible second, it opted to improvise instead. The Torchic focused its power intently, as if charging up for a massive attack. It wasn't exactly a Hyper Beam, but by the next time it moved it would surely be the closest this shiny Magikarp could get.

Felix uses Focus Energy.[/info]

Kathos Sigon

It was a long day at the camp. Sigon had stuck around the whole time, not wanting to risk opening up any wounds that were still healing. With any luck, he'd be safe to move by morning. In the meantime, he had no qualms about letting his Pokémon out to play. He hadn't checked on Parfait since the crash and he hadn't spoken to Sting at all. The Honedge was still securely strapped to his back, surprisingly. He would have thought the man who had saved them would have at least unbuttoned the straps so Honedge could float away freely. Perhaps he was worried about the myth from the Pokédex about Honedge stealing the souls of people who wield it. Indeed it was for the same reason that Sigon had yet to wield Sting himself. He was less apprehensive about handling the sword Pokémon, however.

"Sorry about the rough ride, Sting. How are you doing back there?" He grabbed the harness around his torso and lifted it over his head with his good arm, whereafter he unfastened the Pokémon from it and let him hang out. "Are you okay?"

The Honedge merely floated in the air in front of Sigon, staring at him. Sigon still wasn't sure how to read this Pokémon's emotions. Aside from the face of triumph it had showed after completing training tasks prior to the cruise, the sword's expressions all looked the same to him. It was an area of his training that he genuinely intended to grow in, but he didn't know where to even begin with Sting. The Pokémon truly was an enigma.

"Maybe you and Parfait would like to play or relax together for a while? I have some time to kill." He grabbed Parfait's Poké Ball and released the Togepi onto the sand in front of him. Thankfully, Poké Balls were extremely resilient and protected the Pokémon within particularly well. Togepi was completely unharmed from the shipwreck.

"I'll probably be fishing right over there. You guys take some time and get some fresh air. If you need anything, holler!" He patted the Togepi's as he stood up. He would have done the same to Honedge, but it was hard discern which part of the Pokémon he should pat, so he simply gave him a thumbs up before gathering the fishing supplies the other man had left for him and he proceeded to fish until sundown.

Sigon
The makeshift rod that Daniel had provided you did its job, but not very well. You spent a few hours simply fishing as your Pokemon rested. It was almost relaxing. You didn't get any Pokemon to bite however, but you did manage to pull some food on to shore.

[okay]+1 Food to Sigon.[/okay]

Letina Rae Deslégeech

Her encounter with the Silcoon finished, Letina finished gathering as much berries as she could carry and set off towards camp. She had returned Quilz to her ball as well. They all had worked so hard and it would be best if she let all of her Pokémon rest up. She still felt bad for Coalee and Blaise and how things had ended up with the Silcoon. They probably just were not used to seeing humans, being on an isolated island like this. And here she was, invading their territory and basically kidnapping them. This was why she was becoming a Pokémon breeder. She never had to worry about if she was taking a creature from its home and family. Coalee had been different. She and her pack were in an abandoned warehouse and had attacked Letina. The Houndour had had a better life up until Letina had decided to get on that boat. It was seriously the worst decision she had ever made in her entire life.

It had taken her a little while longer than she had expected, though it was probably because she now had no one to talk to other than herself, and she was not about to take that route. She was not crazy! Yet... The trip probably also would have been faster if she had Coalee's sharp nose to lead the way. Instead, Letina was left going by memory and all broken limbs on trees and branches and leaves on the ground. If only she had found fresh flowing water on that trip. Then she could just follow it back to the beach and find camp that way.

Finally reaching camp, Letina looked for Vinny. He seemed to know what he was doing, perhaps he knew what kind of berries these were and if they were edible.

Rolling Survival to identify the berries. I'll post something spectacular about this later.

"Aivil leads Dan to her camp"

[spoiler]Mr. Narrator hasn't quite a clue why this Aivil would lead Dan to her camp, but Mr. Narrator chooses not to question it-
for a few seconds anyways.

I wonder why that happened, Mr. Narrator thought, looking terrifyingly curious as Mr. Narrator glanced at the above sentence.

Mr. Narrator looks up a post and sees something, a name? a person? a...thorn?

Thus the word 'Throndir' appeared in Mr. Narrator's mind. Other thoughts too streamed into Mr. Narrator's mind as if it was the natural law of the land-

Namely that this 'Throndir' mailed a certain someone to post if he didn't have quite time to intrigue his communal audience. Probably he anyways, who knew if he were actually she, or maybe something else altogether. The details were blurry.

Hmmmm, Mr. Narrator pressed Mr. Narrator palm towards Mr. Narrator's head, concentrated deep inside Mr. Narrator's self, prancing around with joy when Mr. Narrator randomly came up with a solution for this enigma.

Maybe this 'Throndir' is the reason why!

...

......

.........

No, that can't be right,

And so Mr. Narrator waits for the day someone's able to tell a story, a full post-

Why did I just say a full post?

I dunno.

Weirdo.

The day was growing long as he made it back to Aivil's camp, which turned out to be shared with more people than Dan ever would have expected. Including Aivil there were four, which was astounding, and gave him hope that there were more out there. One of them, a large man, was severely injured, but seemed to be recovering well enough; another, a young woman, seemed to be tending to the camp and the large man. The last man he laid eyes on, however, was completely unexpected.

"Vinny...?" Dan took a long pause before collecting his thoughts on the surprise. The man before him was the same one that had caused such a disruption when he first caught Thistle. Only one thought surfaced at the man's appearance; Vinny could only think of Magikarp and berries, and did whatever he wanted in the pursuit of either. Were these people safe around him? As much as I dislike this man for what he did to those Drilbur, actions which ended up turning Thistle against me on our first meeting, I'm not about to condemn him. He's experienced in survival, even if it is a selfish manner of doing so. I may need his help. The entire time he thought this, he maintained a level gaze, as though appraising the Magikarp trainer. After about half a minute, he finally spoke, addressing everyone. "Well, I'll be going back to my own camp, there's an injured man in my care there. I just wanted to see the status of the survivors Aivil here had mentioned. But I plan to return here tomorrow to camp nearby, if that's alright."
