As the arena opened up, you see some sort of kitty 115 ft. away.

Roll for initiative! (And perform)

Wolfrin Fenris

Wolfrin had received instruction prior to entering the arena. The idea seemed fairly simple. He would be pitted against increasingly difficult opponents.
However, upon entering and seeing a small cat of some sort across the floor of the arena, he couldn't help but wonder, somewhat stupidly,
What?
Despite considerable effort, he couldn't stop the sentiment from leaving his lips as well,

"What?"

He glanced down at his ever-alert companion. Buddy was curled up on the floor of the arena beside him, eyes closed, breathing steady.
Wolfrin couldn't agree more.

"Umm.... I'm not going to fight that," he said, pointing at the cat.
Said creature had no such compunctions however, seeming undaunted by the two much larger opponents, it raced straight at them.

The cat continued its relentless pursuit, it looked as if it was blood-raged as it kept making its way towards you and Buddy.

Wolfrin Fenris

Wolfrin looked warily at the, quickly approaching, ferocious feline. He spoke quite loudly this time.
"No. SERIOUSLY. This isn't funny. Where's my opponent?"

Gritting his teeth in frustration, he drew Wolf's Fang, taking up a defensive position.
I am NOT going to kill this cat to prove something here.

The feline of course did not understand the speech. Though you did notice that the cat was strangely blood-thirsty, and before you knew it, it had closed the distance and had attempted to pounce at you. It leapt as it screeched, but its bite was off, its claws at a bad angle, and eventually fell back down, planning to ready itself for another strike.

Wolfrin Fenris

Wolfrin sighed as the cat leapt at him, fangs and claws bared. This is wrong. And this isn't funny!

While the cat was mid leap Wolfrin twisted his blade, turning the blade away from the creature while using his movement to throw off the Feline's momentum.
Saved myself from some bad scratches there, Wolfrin thought sarcastically.
Still, it wasn't this creatures fault it was here. Even if magic wasn't at play here, which Wolfrin suspected was likely the case, this creature's aggression was likely do to poor treatment and fear.

[spoiler]Using Defensive Strike feat to attack the cat with a +4 bonus. -4 bonus for Non-Lethal attack.

The back of the blade hit the cat as it fell back down, swatted away as the now blunt weapon battered it down. The cat only seemed to got up, but you could tell that it was already nearing its limits. Once again it hissed at you and it pounced, aiming for your neck. But as it attacked, you easily stepped out of the way.

Wolfrin Fenris

The best way I can help is to end this quickly.
He sighed, then struck at the creature once more, hoping to end this quickly.
But someone is going to regret using this animal this way, Wolfrin thought grimly as he struck out with the flat of his blade once more.

[spoiler]Attack [blockquote]Rolled 1d20+7 : 12 + 7, total 19[/blockquote]
If successful Damage [blockquote]Rolled 1d10+8 : 5 + 8, total 13[/blockquote][/spoiler]

As your blade struck, the cat was knocked out and it fell to the ground in an unconscious heap. This was enough for the event organizers apparently, as a flash of light engulfed the now unconscious form and disappeared from view.

[info]Assuming you are going to tier 2 without using and refreshes. If you have abilities/etc that have long duration that you want to have up before the next fight, mention it.[/info]

An hour later, as the next round was prepared, you see in the distance what looked to be a robed figure, covered from brownish-black clothing. He held a dagger in his hands and he took a stance that brought it forward and up close. But what struck you the most was the darkness that seemed to envelop him and up to about 20 ft. radius around him. It made the otherwise day's light become muddled and subdued. Apart from that, it was still too far to get any more details, and the darkness around him only made it harder.

[info]Roll some perform and initiative.[/info]

Wolfrin Fenris

Wolfrin looked across the arena at the creature that had appeared. The crowd called and Wolf's Fang was still in his hand. He went through a few simple practice maneuvers, simple but flashy in their way, all while staring at the opponent, attempting to recall any information he had on the creature.

Shaking his head, Wolfrin gave up. Whatever this creature was, he had no knowledge of it. Guess we'll play it safe then, let the enemy come to us. He fell fell into a defensive stance, and advanced forward cautiously with a gesture to Buddy.
