Katrias Lyseer

The young mage saw that amulet passed from Serena to Kin. She had an explicable urge to somehow steal the item from the halfling. She didn't know why, or why she even wanted to, it was as if some invisible hand was guiding her decisions.

"Halfling! I want that amulet." She strode over to Kin, and placed her palms outward, face up, gesturing for the piece.
Idiots. A whole bunch of idiots.

Gift Descriptions
The first gift was wrapped up with some sheets of pretty gift-wrapping paper with little decorations of holly and red berries all over it. What made it more unique was the fact that it had red sparkles over each of the berries, and instead of a bow like most of the other gifts, had actual holly leaves glued to it as a makeshift bow.

The second gift was completely wrapped in shiny red paper. Though unlike regular paper, small snow flakes drifted across it on its surface, the stylized-snow mimicking the decent of the real thing. The tag stuck to it was special too, in that it looked as if it was stuck frozen in a block of ice.

The third gift was a small satin box. There weren't any other furnishings beside this fact.

The fourth gift was a long rectangular box wrapped up in a pine-green wrapping paper. The ribbon tied to it was white, and it neatly finished, almost a craftsmen's work, though of course, in a gift-box form.

The fifth gift was a small box. It was small enough to fit in one's palm. What made this unique was the golden wrapper paper with a striking maroon ribbon that tied the gift together.

The sixth gift was wrapped in a vivid blue wrapping paper, tied with a set of white ribbon. It wasn't an entirely large gift, but it looked hastily prepared. That said the wrapping was still well done and neatly placed.

The seventh gift was also wrapped in a golden sheet. It had a silver-colored ribbon that spanned the box.

The eighth gift was a flat box. It had equal dimensions on two sides, but the last one was only two inches thick. It was wrapped in a simple brown-colored wrapping paper, and there was no ribbon that held it in place.

The ninth gift was a large one. It was a few feet in length, width, and height. It was wrapped in a crimson-red wrapping paper, however like the previous gift this too did not have any further embellishments, and looked as if it had been quickly thrown together.

The tenth gift looked to be a simple card. It was placed in a purple envelope, though it still had a red ribbon across it, though it acted more as decoration rather than actual use.

The eleventh gift was an extremely large box. The proportions on it were strangely even however, and it looked like great care was done to ensure both the lid and the wrapping paper were just as large. The box itself was around 16 ft. even on all sides.

The twelfth gift was a box just as large as the previous one. Instead of gift wrap, it had various pieces of art on the side, one with a giant egg revealing a sunset, a large ship with butterflies as sails, a mechanical-like horse, and a gorilla eating some strange-looking food.

The thirteenth gift was a smaller package, it was cubic-shaped, wrapped in a paper with a red and green Escher-esque interlocking bird pattern. It had a bright green bow with a tag on it with a simple greeting written in calligraphy.
Linwelin

Kin sighed as he unpinned the broach almost as soon as he'd placed it. "Gods, Kitty Kat. Put away the claws. You couldn't at least let me keep it for a bit longer than a few seconds?" He said irked as he dropped it in the young enchanter's hand. "Do you have it out for me, or something?" Kin raised an eyebrow before looking toward the gifts once more. Suddenly, the halfling smirked, looking back at the thief before him. "If that's how you're playing it, then I'll have you helping me in return."  Kin spoke gleefully as he sauntered up to Kryas with a smile, swiping the envelope from his hand. "Yoink!" He semi-shouted, turning and waving the envelope in Katrias' direction. "See you soon!"

Isaak to choose a new gift. Isaak to describe gift.

Fellow Rabbit

Isaák Amantes

Aghast, Isaák suppressed the urge to scoff when Kryas demanded the crystal Isaák had rightfully bestowed upon himself. Instead, he thought it better to simply play the game, play it cool, and play innocent. After all, he had an opportunity to acquire another gift hiding its own unknown treasures. He handed the box with its single crystal to Mr. Kryas Windsel, comforted by the notion that anyone who might have seen Isaák hide one of the crystals in his pocket certainly would have said something. Since no one did, he was certain that either no one saw or no one who did cared. He would consider it Kryas' punishment for trying to steal his gift.

"Go for it," he said as kindly as he could, "I've got my eye on something else over there." He brushed another lump of dung from his pants and sauntered over to the tree. A respectable selection of gifts still remained beneath it, each as mysterious and full of potential as the last. Three, really. Not a great amount to most, but certainly enough to Isaák.

Each was neatly wrapped, though by the looks of the blue one, the preparer was in a hurry to get it done in time. He quickly moved on from this one. The longer gift in green wrapping paper was certainly intriguing as well, wrapped by a true master of wrapping. Almost too good if Isaák were to speculate. Someone among them had been wrapping gifts for a very long time to be able to adorn one with such a high level of skill. Still, it fell just short of what Isaák looked for in wrapping. The third of these gifts, though a bit more gaudy than its companions, was unique in its appearance, being covered in a more patterned paper that had also been modified. What he really appreciated, though, was the holly. It was a minor detail, he thought, but it was quite a nice touch. After much deliberation, he decided the gift with the holly probably contained something nicer than the others. It was risky to take it so early in the event since it could so easily be stolen, but seeing the other gifts in the exchange, he decided it would be fair to take one of theirs should he lose this one.

And so, his decision was made. He took the gift and returned to his seat to open it discreetly, careful not to tear the paper, but rather untaping it and unwrapping it, even removing the holly bow to keep from damaging it.

As you carefully open the gift, you notice something is up with the box beneath. It seems to be a book safe of sorts, but the locks are completely broken off as though whoever had last opened it had broken them rather than using a key or lock pick. That being said, the book safe opens easily, allowing you to see its contents inside. Within the safe sits a very damaged wooden box. It had also been locked, and still was. But there was a hole big enough for you to fit your hand in to retrieve what lay inside. Thankfully, the innermost box was not damaged and what lay inside it looked almost brand new.

He acquires this information prior to performing such an action or becoming associated with such an item if he takes a moment to contemplate the act.

CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS

Craft Wondrous Item, detect chaos, detect evil, detect good, detect law; Cost 500 gp

Fellow Rabbit

Grey
Upon picking up the package, you feel a very feint understanding of it. Like you suddenly had an idea of what was inside that you didn't have before you touched it. It of course still didn't give away its contents. As you began to unwrap it, the understanding grew a tiny bit stronger, and when you finally got to see what it was, you realized why.

Inside the box of red and green wrapping was a most clairvoyant gift: a pair of Gloves of Object Reading! Isaák's handiwork was suddenly very apparent in the wrapping and the gloves' powers even showed you the shop owner he received them from.

Vladimir to choose new gift.

Linwelin

Vladimir had been intently watching the crowd as they recovered their gifts. He'd been using his instinct as a thief to case each item, especially since he was nearly the last to choose. But it wasn't just about value, or power; it was about usefulness. Which of these many items were of the most use to him.

In the end his choice was clear. The most flexible item would be best. And that item happened to be in the hands of a certain halfling. A halfling that was sure to grudge his next actions, but it would still be worthwhile. He sauntered up to the excitable halfling, leaning over to pluck the envelope from his hands.

"My apologies, Kin, but I've more use for this than you. Or are you saying your sword isn't good enough yet?" Vladimir teased a little, tucking the paper safely into his pocket.

Kin growled as he gave up the coupon. The man before him certainly had a point. He would have spent it on his sword, which was already close to the best weapon in the guild among his peers. "Fine, fine, take it. I'll get back at The Kitten in another way." The halfling jokingly pouted. "And your weapons ARE holding you back, so get to it! I'm always happy to help those in need." Kin smiled, though the comment was oddly put. Still, Vladimir shrugged it off and returned to his seat nearby.

"Now then..." Kin scanned the rest of the 'loot'. But none of it really interested him. "Meh. I'll just try my luck again." The halfling quickly walked to the green box with white ribbon left under the tree. "Now, what've you got inside you?"

With absolutely no tact, nor respect for the fine decoration of the box, Kin tore open his new present box. scraps of the once-beautiful wrapping paper fell to the floor in disarray, and the ribbon cast aside thoughtlessly. It was likely that the giver thought this little man to be a fiend by these actions.

Lyolf to choose new gift.

[info]Traveler's Any-Tool

Aura moderate transmutation; CL 9th; Weight 2 lbs.
Slot none; Price 250 gp
DESCRIPTION
This implement at first seems to be nothing but a 12-inch iron bar lined with small plates and spikes. It can be folded, twisted, hinged, and bent, to form almost any known tool. Hammers, shovels, even a block and tackle (without rope) are possible. It can duplicate any tool the wielder can clearly visualize that contains only limited moving parts, such as a pair of scissors, but not a handloom. It cannot be used to replace missing or broken parts of machines or vehicles unless a mundane tool would have done the job just as well.
The any-tool counts as a set of masterwork artisan's tools for most Craft or Profession skills (although very specialist crafts such as alchemy still require their own unique toolset). It is an ineffective weapon, always counting as an improvised weapon and never granting any masterwork bonus on attack rolls.
